    House leadership resisted taking the necessary step until it became unavoidable.

    Given the kabuki ritual of House impeachment and the Senate giving Trump an automatic pass that he'll lie about and call "Exoneration!", the value to the process is exposing the truth for the American electorate (in spite of Trump's desperate attempt to hide as much as he can by gagging witnesses in-the-know.)
