Such laws as that has been created by DeSantis in Florida are draconian and harm agriculture, hotel and service industries that rely on immigrant workers.

Good luck finding Americans who'll take those jobs they just won't do them.

The truth is America needs immigrant workers and though I'm not for illegal immigration, we need to loosen immigration policy so that they can work here legally without fear of deportation.

Supporters believe a new Florida law recently signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis will crack down on illegal immigration.

However, from farming to construction, the law is expected to have a wide-ranging impact on a number of industries vital to Florida's economy.

WPTV is told that some farm workers are already too scared to go to work and are considering leaving the state, which could cause a huge staffing crisis for Florida agriculture.

You seem to be confused when it comes to ROOT CAUSES. The left caused this issue. Most Americans now think they are too good for certain jobs. This was further cemented by Biden taking away money from hardworking blue collar citizens (you know, the ones that carry the country) and give it to over entitled latte drinking college brats.
No bills DeSantis can undo this damage without lots of TIME.
I find it funny to see lefties complaining about the very situations THEY created
    Classic!!

What do you feel should be the hourly wage for a hotel maid? What about hourly wage for a farm worker picking crops?

Unemployment is near all time lows.

Labor participation among working aged people is near all time highs.

We don't have enough working aged people.

It's not 'draconian' to follow the damned law. We have provisions for legal entrants and we have unemployed Americans, if you have to pay more to get legals, then that's what a legitimate business needs to do.

This, if we've been using illegals as indentured servants, then as wrong as it was for African-Americans, it's equally as wrong for these migrants. We have to start following the law, even if it comes at a temporary setback.

We have 49,972,000 unemployed working age.

Legitimate responsible employers can either hire some of them, or folks who legally entered on guest worker passes.

    Which clearly isn't enough.

Unemployment is near an all time low.

Labor participation among working aged people is near an all time high.

Nonsense. Florida has long relied on immigrants to do jobs Americans are not willing to do, like landscaping, roofing, agriculture etc and it has nothing to do with any partisan issue.

Long relied? I'm not that old and me and ALL my friends were doing jobs like that in our teens. Of course people like cheap labor. Why would teens ever do these jobs now when they know they can get their local landscaper to pay off their medical school?

    Exactly.

It's cheaper to use illegals than legals.
It was cheaper to use slaves.
Slave produced goods from China are cheaper than German goods.

We're a nation of laws, written by those that we chose to represent us. Follow the law.

    Yes it is.

    Employers have two legitimate choices:
    1. Hire Americans.
    2. Hire legal entrants.
    3. Hiring illegals is an illegal act.
Why do you advocate law breaking? Are you an anarchist?

Unemployment is near an all time low.

We need more working aged people.

The difference between an illegal immigrant and someone who can work legally is something that is entirely in our control. They are the ONLY way we are going to be able to get more working aged people.

The labor market is pretty much as tight as it has ever been in the history of the United States. I know that is difficult for you to accept, but it is the case.

Why do you believe teens are having landscapers pay off medical school for people?

Many get $30./hour or more. Tax free!

The maids' cars are nicer than the home owners anymore.

You are advocating that we continue to import slave produced goods from China?
