I can’t stand this woman. Her China virus mandates killed Las Cruces. A few years ago I had to report for jury duty for a murder that was a mistrial in Albuquerque. There were 90 potential jurors in the room and the defense lawyer asked us to raise our hands if we had a concealed carry license, and about half the room indicated they did. Then he asked for a show of hands on who owned a gun and nearly every hand went up. With all the guns in the hands of NM citizens in Las Cruces, how come there are no mass murders occurring here? Thanks to the exploding number of illegals invading the area, the wife and I are looking for a home protection gun along with the rifle we currently own. Guns can be purchased in numerous places and when we shopped around we didn’t see a single automatic assault weapon of war. This state has a hideously high drug overdose rate, perhaps the governor would like to do something about that rather than go on MSNBC and bitch about the guns that kill far less people.
I agree that the gov. of NM is typically ignorant and partisan to the Nth. Never do these partisan politicos ever mention all the shootings happening in Chicago. Close to 50 people shot in the last two weekends. Do they not matter? Are their handguns not dangerous? Why is it always the big, black, scary long guns that need to be banned? The governor of NM is a tool for the DNC.
It’s really weird to me that the military is full of guns and weapons of war and no one there is wiping out anyone. Why do we not see a fighter pilot or tank operator going nuts? I can think of only 1 mass shooting incident involving the military and that was over a decade ago by a Muslim whack job. …of course, I say this whilst the liberals are even now infecting our military with their mentally deranged wokeism so there probably will be mass murders coming down the pike soon enough. They just caught a guy selling fentanyl in Albuquerque who they believe is responsible for a rash of overdoses. He had $12k, and two pistols on him in addition to the drugs. They let him go on bail that day.
My wife has a horse in Radium Springs and for a few years she would encounter groups of illegals asking for water. Those groups are now larger and come around more often and they’re heading up your way. Also, along the 25 and frontage roads are abandoned cars that were stolen but ran out of gas as they traveled north. But let’s worry about something that pretty much has lower odds of impacting anyone than getting hit by a car.
