I feel so inspired when I listen to Newt. None of the other candidates do that.

He'll catch fire again, I'm sure.

(And Mitt may have to set his hair on fire)

I like Newt, and especially what he said on Fox News tonight about the leader of Afghanistan.

Your tactics are transparent to us in case you didn't know.8)

On a serious note, why do you liberals want to support a socialist leaning president?
Why do you want socialism? Don't you know that our Capitalistic style of government is what made this the greatest country on our planet?

Have you not seen how socialism has destroyed other countries putting them on brink of collapse?

Is communism what you are really after?

I think Newts ok, but he's got too much baggage and not enough money to win. The Romney cash cow won't be stopped, the establishment will get their guy.

Another word for baggage is experience and/or accomplishment, which is sorely needed in leading. We have a newbee there now, apparently incapable of learning and has no idea how to lead.

Newt supports the Patriot Act and NDAA, and is as corrupt as they come. I've never felt less inspired by anyone... aside from Santorum and Romney.

Not when those 'accomplishments' are multiple failed marriages... social issues matter to a lot of folks on the right and Newts incredibly unpopular with women.

The "failed marriage" issue is not an issue in this race, unlike many like to think.

Of course it is, why do you think he's so unpopular amongst women?

SC women went for him big. I don't believe its an issue at all.
Santorum may end up with a bigger problem with women.

Your remark on Santorum is certainly true, unfortunately this isn't between Santorum and Newt.

Newt did well in SC because it's a border state with Georgia, he'll do well with women here as well. I'll see if i can dig up some polling data.

Nothing says change like a big government, corportist, globalist, war mongerer. Newt is the establishment. Ron Paul is real change.

Gingrich is likely to win Georgia where he leads Romney by 12 points and he has to win Georgia to be credible in the race. He is also expected to do extremely well in Alabama, Mississippi and Kansas. But his third comeback may not be good enough to surpass Romney in the delegate count.

And if it is, the rules will just change post hoc like they did in Michigan. The establishment will have their candidate, whether the voters like it not.

thatkim..., Question.; Knowing the comparable history of Romneycare/Obamacare, do you honestly believe *IF* Romney had been the 2008 nominee and won the Election with a Democratic Congress, which it was, do you NOT think we would still have a National HC problem or one other result, a larger Federal Government and an out of hand National DEBT???

Anikdote; I'm not sure failed marriages should be a disqualifying factor for the good ANY person achieves, but I understand your point. Maybe those disgruntled women voters, should look at the choices (women friends) he had made earlier in life, noting that sometimes devotion to ones job(s) and country take priority. They might also note his current wife, has interest in many of his fields, especially history and by the way is a good looking lady...Oh, that might be the problem!!!

I'm not saying it matters or should be a relevant point in an election, but regardless of whether we think it should be or it matters to some people. Hell I've seen studies recently that suggest that Romney is more supportable because he's more handsom, I'll see if I can dig it up.

But the point is that people will vote for/against politicians for stupid reasons.

Unfortunately, when progressive statism inevitably fails, we all will suffer the consequences, and most likely be subjected to further progressive statism.

Did socialist/communist countries really destroy themeselves? Or have we helped along the way? Vietnam: We started a war with them and eventually that regime collapsed. Cuba: international pressure placed on them (sanctions, embargos). Its not like Fidel just chooses to have food rationing for the citizens because its fun.

Yeah we have the greatest capitalist country in the world-thats why thousands of occupy protesters confront our very form of government and the fact that CEO salaries average 400 times that of the average worker.

I am soooo happy to live here.
