Nick Sandmann just turned 18 years old. And he’s settling a $250 million lawsuit with major media outlets that libeled him. Let’s send him our congratulations and prayers.

I was prepping Robert Oscar Lopez’s powerful piece on Mike Adams for publication when I realized something chilling. Reading how the left hounded that talented writer to suicide (if indeed he wasn’t murdered) I heard in my head the media headline that never ran. Thanks be to God.

“Racist Ringleader, Nicholas Sandmann, Dead at 17.”
That’s what the media mob wanted. They as good as admitted it. When powerful reporters call a young man’s face “the most punchable in America,” that’s what they mean. When columnists and activists propose “doxing” him, contacting every college he ever applies to, or job he tries to get, that’s what they mean.”

The progressive left cancel culture has gone too far. I think it needs to be ended now. The attempts to use content control to limit people’s expressions is UN American. What happened to Adams is unforgivable.

The progressive left is not used to its opposition being allowed to stand up for themselves and fight back against cancel culture bigotry.

There is no progressive left, but CNN & WaPo ARE a total joke.

As is Sandmann now by his own doing.

I mentored a young college student many years ago. She was basically an orphan because her mother killed her father and her mother went to prison. This young person's life was not only destroyed by the loss of both parents, the media would NOT give her a moment's rest as the story unfolded in their small/medium sized town. It was unrelenting and she came very close to taking her own life. I have absolutely no love for the media and I think all of it should be dumped and started over. Our need to know up-to-the minute news about everybody else is what drives these kinds of things into awful territory, often inflicting more harm than any good that comes from it.

With all that said, I am trying to understand this story more and more but it makes no sense to go to all that trouble over what looks like a rigid and weird smile. I get the libel and the death threats were not okay, but killing a kid? Why?

Rubbish. He was relentlessly hounded by other academics and his college's administration, clearly the only conservative there. That settlement would have soothed a lot of wounds but wow, the timing on him not getting to spend it---small wonder they talk conspiracy.

    BS.
More BS. Sandman is now wealthy enough to ignore the left's attempt to cancel him. And Sandman is still alive. The deadman Mr Adams was called vile things and hounded from his job. Don't confuse the two.

My software error entirely. The comment did not address Sandmann but Adams.

I hate the way this forum software operates when I try to erase a draft-post but it shows up on top of a different post which I do "publish." Grrrr. But I'll still swallow the error.

Sandmann has enough money to buy his own college. Revenge against the media would be far more satisfying and for us hugely entertaining to watch.

How so? He won against steep odds. That settlement amount is definitely no joke.

Nick got his day in court and won. A Trump supporter who knows his rights and takes no crap. The media has no shame but they do have TDS. Each and every journalist out there should ask themselves if this is the legacy they want to leave for other journalist.

A win is a win. He was right and they were wrong. Stop and think -- the media lied about him -- that is big.

You are right! I doubt his lawyer would have settled for a tiny amount. We can believe he didn’t get 250 million nor was it $1. Anything else is just an uneducated guess.

That is the stigma attached to suicide. It is not a sign of weakness or cowardice. Further, things that cause significant internal pain for one person may not cause the same problem in another. Nobody has a right to say how much someone else should be able to handle.

I do because this man tried to tell people their shortcomings and yet couldn't handle his own, what a vindictive hypocrite.

So, he was a coward for being a vindictive hypocrite; not because he killed himself.

Apparently Adams had little if any support in his own area of N. Carolina, as they collected 88,000 signatures to fire him in a matter of days. He instead had opted to take early retirement as of August 1,2020.
