Hopefully while he is awaiting the execution he also has to deal with an ass beating on a weekly basis.
Really people? So you people want respond to mindless barbarism with more mindless barbarism, eh? The terrorists have won the war.
No kidding... As if any distinction between workplace violence or terrorism would prevent a death sentence in this case... - - - Updated - - - Nope... Just hoping for a happy little accident...
Justice will be served when obama admits it was terrorism and not work place violence. none of those victims will receive the appropriate benefits. Fort Hood survivors, victims' families dispute 'workplace violence' claim
Still, I don't think that would've automatically entitled any of the victims to "combat-related" type benefits, though I'd have no problem with the exception being made in this case...
Thanks for the laugh BVWC! Neither this President nor his administration can call the Egyptian coup a coup. That one small word would shut off the foreign aid spigot.
Truthfully, I think the only thing that anyone has been denied is a Purple Heart, and I'm not even 100% certain that that was outright denied... But, I still have no issue with the aforementioned bill, which appears to be designed to ensure that the victims are not denied any rights in the future...
No one has been denied any "rights". You don't have a right to a Purple Heart, especially when the Purple Heart has never been given out to members of the US military who are harmed by other members of the US military. And you don't have a right to combat pay, especially when you aren't anywhere near a warzone.
I seem to recall this discussion, in a different thread about Hasan... You are correct that a PH is not a right... I, also, do not recall a PH being given for military members who are harmed by other military members... In addition, you definitely wouldn't get combat pay in the CONUS, as there is no declared war zone here... FYI, I wasn't implying that a PH was a right, just that I think that was the main thing people were complaining about the victims not receiving...
Try to keep up with the plot, son. The people on this thread are behaving like the Palestinians who danced in the streets after 9/11. It has nothing to do with the death penalty. It has to do with the intellectual and moral coarseness that has crippled too many Americans as they wallow in hate, bigotry and bloodlust and sink to the level of barbarians everywhere. Those people have damaged America much more than any terrorist attack.
