Well, she was........but the cop should be fired. People need to teach their children that smarting off to police officers is a bad way to go through life.

Well now, she reportedly kicked the cop in the nuts and spit on him before the video started rolling........at what point does a cop arrest someone. A big part of the problem is parents refusing to raise their kids to respect law enforcement........in her quotes she even refers to cops as 'pigs'. <Off-topic>

 

The law there is no alcohol on that beach. If she didn't have a big mouth she would not have been arrested, however.

We can't see her kicking the officer during the takedown.

If she kicked or bit him he sure can punch her legally.

I don't think that he is really a cop. He is an SLEO or special law enforcement officer that is hired for the summer. I live at the Jersey shore and because these towns are small, they don't have large police forces. In the summer, though, the beaches are very crowded, so they hire temporaries who are trained and get background checks to help out with beachgoers. They can issue motor vehicle violations, city ordinance violations such as public urination, disorderly conduct violations, and issue tickets for eating on the beach and not having a beach badge because there is a fee. They also help out with crowd control. We used to call them rent-a-cops.

 

The Texas cops did not rape that woman they just charged her with marijuana possession and then she died.

 

I agree that video does not show her kicking him. Maybe it is another video.

 

Her parents should have made her watch this video. In fact. It should be mandatory viewing for every high school student before graduating. I think the 'jumping the subway turnstile' segment is applicable to this girl getting her ass beat:

 

Far from advocating being even meeker like you prescribe, I'd advocate that cops should be forced to follow the law they're supposed to uphold, or find an easier job. Weird huh?

UFC is a sport which is meant to be a competition with a certain element of fairness.

Law enforcement is not.

She was clearly resisting arrest and his use of force was appropriate. That is not opinion but fact.

 

One, the woman was strenuously resisting.

Two, the punches were pulled by the officer. He seems trying to force the women to the prone, so (I think) she could be easily handcuffed.

Based on what I say, I would have hit her in the back of the head not at the base of the neck to make her comply.
