What about the bloody brass nerve of that bloke who says we have 'eighteen months' to get our act together then? May should just call their bluff and say '(*)(*)(*)(*) your single market, we have bigger fish to fry out there in the wide world.' rather than go cap-in-hand begging for access to it. I'll bet they'd back down straight away. She's being toyed with by these bloody pompous megalomaniacal foreigners and she can't see it. And I had such hopes for her premiership. My 3-year-old BMW is coming up for renewal soon and I always replace them with another one; but not this time - in view of Nissan's loyalty (even thought it was probably bought and paid for!), I'm looking at one of their models - an SUV will make a nice change methinks.
