This forum is overloaded with negative comments aimed at candidates, but few comments that are positive about what a candidate might do. I think we should also look for positive things we look for in a candidate. There is an interum election coming up this year. Name one positive thing that would make you give serious consideration in a candidate. note: being against something or someone is not a positive thing. I will look for candidates that will bring the country colser together.
Candidates for what? When candidates for office stop telling us what they stand for, what they want to accomplish, and how they will go about it, instead of spending every ad dollar and every public speech telling us what's wrong with their opponent, perhaps then I'll feel less negative about politicians.
Unfortunately, most political candidates spend more time pointing fingers about how bad the other person is, rather than actually saying what they plan to do. This is what modern day politics has become. If a candidate could state a neutral benefit for the entire country that does not pander to either side or any specific group, I'll be happy to give them a second look.
I agree with the sentiment, but no Democrat has anything positive to run on, and many Republicans don't either and the others are too timid to mention them
