No, one's own flaws aren't because of somebody else. They're the flaws of that person or entity

Okay, I've had enough. Donald Trump is culpable for a lot of things, but I'm sick and tired of people within the government(and within this society) using this flawed individual as a mea culpa for their OWN problems. Namely, a consistent refrain by the 'institution' is that Donald Trump's rhetoric and words(and surely not their actions) undermines confidence in the institution, in them.

This is what we call not taking accountability, or responsibility. And as much as Trump's an expert at that, his detractors are equally as good at it, if not moreso. So the latest opinion piece based on Trump's call for Chutkin's recusal basically ends by saying it's 'meat to Trump's base to show a lack of confidence in the judiciary'.

The same piece cited a 1994 SCOTUS Opinion that is so fundamentally erroneous it's hard to believe it came from the High Court. That opinion, lowers my view of the judiciary. It is the failure of the judiciary's function, that brings about the negative view point.

Not Trump, not anyone else. My value of the judiciary is lowered, as a result of the judiciary's actions. The judiciary is in full control of those actions, and the positive or negative view of the court is dependent entirely on those.

The same thing with the intelligence community's failure during Crossfire Hurricane. That was THEIR failure. They initiated it, then they pursued it even after intelligence was unreliable. That's THEIR fault. The attempt to deflect blame is not new, or unusual, or limited to Trump personally.

What is new, is the attempt to not only deflect blame but polish their own turd! The 'institutions', firstly we never referenced to them as that prior to 2016. But it gives off some priestly vibes, dressed in robes or something. They would like to think they're irreplaceable to the country or something.

When they exalt their virtues and demand that we as a country sing their praises for the tireless work they do, it's the sort of egotism that can only corrupt said institutions. And so they do.

I can only imagine they do these things, because if they don't have their virtues exalted, if we don't see them as irreplaceable, they become replaceable. So it's also in part a survival mechanism to keep themselves funded.

So it's part ego, it's part preservation. And it's self defense because no one likes their flaws pointed out. But also, the ironic thing is that in so doing, civilian government is undermined.

The power 'vested in the institutions', the holy status they have acquired in the federal government makes civilian government impossible. Because it would have to coexist alongside these egotistical parasites.

Oh, and this disaster predates DT. Liberals warned of the Patriot Act reformation, and this is that basically coming home to roost. The Patriot Act consolidated the groups, and allowed them to have this self-ordained importance that would inevitably destroy its function in the country.

So what's the ideal goal? To bring the intelligence community and judiciary back to pre 9/11 status. I'd love to reduce these groups down to a workable size so they lose the ego, lose the self preservation and make them actually a feasible component for a civilian government.

We have sheriffs and police officers, that suffices for local governance, and the national government can maintain communication channels with the city and state governments.

We don't need these parasites, or their self ordained importance.
