North Korea has announced a special action to blow up the South Korean government to reduce it to ashes.
http://www.mail.com/int/news/world/...korea-provocation.html#.2394-stage-teaser1-15

North Korea explained:
"As even the heart of Seoul is served as a base for provocative acts of hurting the dignity of the DPRK’s supreme leadership, a step for a special action will be taken to blow up everything there.

Those who dare provoke the inviolable DPRK should bear in mind that they would never be able to escape a stern punishment."

Furthermore the North announced:
In view of the situation worsening as the days go by, the special operation action team of the Supreme Headquarters of the Korean People’s Army, upon authorization, issued a notice that it will start its special action soon to smash the reckless challenge of the group of traitors.

Its targets are the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors, the arch criminals, and the group of rat-like elements including the above-said conservative media (Dong-A Ilbo, KBS, MBC, YTN), the notice stated, adding that once the special action kicks off, it will reduce all the rat-like groups and the bases for provocations to ashes in three or four minutes, or in much shorter time, by unprecedented peculiar means and methods of its own style.

It's just empty rhetoric. They've done this before.

We'll give them some food, and then they'll shut up for a while.

yes they could wipe us out, if we ever went to war with them. Perhaps not on the battlefield or in the water or air but they would outlast us, firstly their army is very large and well trained, they would have tactical advantages in almost all respects, knowing the land, doubtlessly having the sympathy of their own people, problubly getting supplied by china , the list goes on, we lack the resources, will and manpower to launch or sustain such a venture.

What? Who lacks what vs. North Korea? North Korea is a joke. They would kill millions right out but would quickly be dealt with. If they struck Seoul I'd wager it would be a race between the S.K/US forces and China as to which side got to Pyongyang first. The only thing North Korean soldiers are good at is dancing at parades.

North Korea is not expected to take military action against South Korea and its 'special action' is presumed to be electronic such as hacking major South Korean websites as it happened few years ago. It's been reported that North Korea may be jamming the global positioning systems of airliners flying into South Korea and the signals are believed to be coming from North Korea.

Asl long as mocking is the way the west deals with North Korea, the world can be sure, the North has a strong and powerful army.

"Provocative acts of hurting the dignity of the DPRK's supreme leadership..."

Does this refer to someone making fun of that little twerp who took over from daddy, or their missle that needed more muscle?

I wouldn't spend any time worrying about North Korea. They don't have the resources or will to win a war. They are all bluster. I've logged a little time on the DMZ myself and found nothing to worry about. The country is desperately poor and uses intimidation to get things from other countries. Shame on those other countries.

All, what you people "know" about the country, is what you took from their enemies.

Your blended view:
All what North Korea says is propaganda and all what South Korea and its allies say is the truth.

You don´t know that in North Korea everybody gets along. Everybody can write etc.
North Korea had a HDI in 1995 similar to Mexico´s HDI today. But sure, NK has no Mafias and its wealth is evenly distributed to the population.

You mock about NK failed rocket launch, but you forget that your own moon rocket has failed and we Germans had to build one for you, like everything else...
And you forget that NK has launched a satellite successfully in 2009.

You sit there and and insult foreign politicians while your own politicians are just puppets and criminals. You complain of North Korean prison camps, while American torture camps make the headlines worldwide.

And the worst:
In free elections you would have the option to deselect the puppets and criminals but you don´t. Why? You are for human rights in the world? Then deselect the cause for the human rights violation.

You talk about evil North Korea, evil Libya, evil Syria, but you support the country with the most UN-resolutions (Israel) from the bottom of your heart and your politicians raid county by country.

So, where is your moral qualification to point a finger at someone?

This isn´t the point.
I just say NK is much better then medias and politicians want you make to believe, while they self are true anti-democrats.

I can see that you are the one who needs an education in what North Korea is all about. I think you should start here. This was done by some guys who went into the nation and took video of their visit.:

http://www.vice.com/the-vice-guide-to-travel/vice-guide-to-north-korea-1-of-3

Here's a National Geographic report on North Korea. It's worth noting that the reports sister was captured and held prisoner by the North Koreans:

Here's an interview with her sister talking about the North Korea kidnapping:

Now why do I care about all this Korea stuff so much, well simple; I've been as close as 30 feet away from North Korea. I've seen Kijŏng-dong (Propaganda Village), a dead village in the DMZ where no one lives, yet it's one of the few places in North Korea that has its lights on at night. It also has a ridiculously large flag.

Their people are starving. Their military likely has equipment and ammunition so old that a lot of it will fail. I don't even know what they do about training being that they can barely feed their population. During the Soviet Defector Incident, the most recent incident involving the two armies fighting face to face, the KPA had 5 wounded, 3 dead, and 8 captured vs the UN (S.Korea/US) having 1 dead and 1 wounded. That's not a good ratio, and that's just with pistols and rifles. North Korea is not in a good state militarily. They only have two things: First they can kill a lot of people in the opening moments of a war. Second they have surprise, not just in timing but in deployment. For instance North Korea constructed a number of tunnels to infiltrate the South (I've been to one). There may be some that have not yet been found. Really though despite the initial attack North Korea would be soundly defeated. It's unlikely their fortifications are able to withstand attacks from modern weapons and as I said earlier their old equipment and lack of training are not doing them any favors.

I'm really not sure how you can support North Korea. They are an aggressive (*)(*)(*)(*) hole nation that tortures its own people. The people in North Korea have no idea about what is going on outside of their nation. If anyone defects (most nations call it emigrate) their families are put in prison labor camps to live out the rest of their short lives. While the South, for the most part, blares news and offerings of peace over their speakers along the DMZ, the North plays Red October sounding music while telling their South Korean counterparts to "murder the Yankees." Anyone that would stand up for North Korea obviously has no idea of what is going on there. Anyone who would say that North Korea is somehow better than other nations is either insanely biased or lying to themselves. It's a (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up (*)(*)(*)(*)hole and I hope that one day the North Korean people will have the strength to overthrow the Kim dynasty and re-unite with their families to the South. So long as dictators keep up the divide, their people will suffer for no good reason, and for whatever reason idiots will support that suffering.

It sounds like those psychotic hobbits are starting to get a bit uppity.

Meh, starve them some more.

One dumpling per village sounds like a fair ration. Things are tough all over, ya know?

The village with the worlds second highest flagpole is in the demilitarized and it looks not that bad. Whats the problem with "propaganda village" as the South Koreans call it? Nobody lives there.

You're really picking through that story. You completely ignore things like the mention that the nation has 2 or 3 months of food, is destitute, that most people cannot provide rice let alone meat of any sort, and that malnourishment is still common. Yes things are improving but the place is still not well off at all. BTW feel free to watch those videos, especially the Vice Travelers Guide one. Of course you are for some reason sold on North Korea being reasonable, and I really don't know why.
