Am increasingly believing this is a pending war likely around early next year. How do you guys think the end will be? Assuming no other country gets involved.
There has only been a truce that ended the free fire zones in Korea. If there's an escalation above what we see the North attempting, I see a very bloody, but swift end, with China actually being less of a factor than during the first go 'round.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...i8HYgF-3WWwdv631w&sig2=NAF2piZ6ConaKIJn7_dOAg It would really suck for the 2nd Infantry until some of their artillery gets knocked out. After we get some planes in the air things should get better. South Korea would end up winning in the end.
Hopefully both sides realize there will be no winners. It would be totally devastating for both sides and, while the south would likely win, the devastation and number of casualties would be immense. This also assumes China does not get involved - if this were to happen it's game over.......
South Korea and its allies will win, but Seoul will get flattened within the first couple days. If any allied forces move North of Pyongyang expect China to enter the conflict.
Doubtful N Korea's population is some what like our Liberal base here in the U.S. they believe "they are" actually free to make their own decisions but unaware their decisions have been programmed in to their heads by their programmed Parent, Teachers, politicians and friends any other information is mentally blocked out or dealt with swiftly by the collective.
While I agree, the testing of Stratigic weapons delivery systems, leads me to believe they may already be ready on the tactical side.
If reports made public can be believed, they have not perfected the miniaturization of the warhead yet, but they will in the near future.
Yeah, & the more I think about it, Baby Boy would likely focus on long range, more Stratigic weapons anyway. I think he's probably the overcompensating type... Seems he suffers from SPS, Small penis syndrome. Among other things. It's likely he would focus on bigger.
The fact that we have two immature, spoiled, insecure, egotistical, mentally challenged country leaders surrounded by people who only tell them what they want to hear (or ELSE!) is not good for the prospects of peace. Neither N Korea, nor the US with our so-called president, seems willing to discuss anything, just bluster. China is the wild card.
IMO, North Korea always stirs trouble, then pulls back from the brink. They have done it time and time again with good success at getting compensation to keep them quiet. I don't think they have changed their MO, at all. This new leader may feel emboldened by his deals with Iran and with Russia being a wild card. I probably feels safe with China behind him and with China making noise in the South China Sea. We should have been at war with them a long time ago though and finished them off. When they stole the USS Pueblo, killing the US Servicemen in the DMZ, recently when they sank a South Korean ship or shelled South Korea. They know we don't want war at any cost so they get away, literally, with murder. No matter what stance we take, N. Korea with a nuke and a missile to put it on his really bad news. I say, we sit back and watch... Ignore them. Act like they do not exist but quietly build up the military again and get ready.
It's actually far easier to build large bulky nuclear weapons for use against cities and military bases than it is to build compact, artillery sized nuclear weapons.
I'm willing to bet that China will try to swing some deal with us, that would include our ignoring Chinese expansion, in exchange for turning a blurry eye towards N. Korea, should hostilities resume. Russia & Iran, oddly enough, I see as larger players than China if this gets fired up again.
I understand this but, The thing with Baby Boy though, is that he seems the type to through all caution to the wind, & waddle forward in the most hazardous way.
If a rumble ignites it will end early in the first round. North and South Korea will unite. The North will get electric lights and soon have a chance to try American barbecue. They will become our allies forever...
Which is why we've got to strike now, before they've perfected their weapons. The irony of the Iran whining is that NK was much closer to the weapon and now our time to act is significantly shorter than if we had been more aggressive towards NK. Bush should've never taken them off the terrorist watch list.
Why risk the Little Kim selling his nuclear death duds on the global munitions black-market where it would end up in the hands of a western jihadists' terror cell.
I think China is dying to flex their muscles and they are looking for a confrontation. They will not support us at all and they will do everything they can to support North Korea. They don't like the North having nukes, but they like a unified Korea under the South/US control even less. China wants a bigger role in the world. They don't like us all that much. Never have, to be honest.
