When the ParaOrdnance 1911 came out, and I purchased a frame and had it built up with Colt parts and a Commander slide, I was flabbergasted !!!

useless post as you dont even support background checks.

you think anyone out of prison should be able to possess a gun, and that's societal suicide.

No, but a law that doesn't impact criminals at all isn't a very useful law.

universal background checks IS common sense.

no Patriotic American would ever sell a gun to a stranger without first making sure they arent a felon or wanted for child rape.

    How does that work ?

Only the Police impact criminals in a routine stop.

Keep beating that dead horse, Ron. Every message further shreds your credibility beyond the point it was already.

Neither of these are effective or enforceable, therefore they are not common sense laws.

You conflate common sense with the ideological mob indoctrination of lemmings. Don’t break any mirrors and make sure you know what to do if you spill salt.
What I love about the left screaming about UBC is that they don’t advocate for making the NCIS available to all, in part, because the concealed hypocrisy is to lay the foundation for gun registration.

Then do not continually release these individuals back into society where they can commit the most harm.

Except for the basic, simple fact that they are not, as they are impossible to enforce.

Two categories of individuals who are factually the least likely to engage in a mass shooting.

ATF doesn't have enough staffing to arrest more than 100 felons a year out of the 34,000 who commit a felony by lying on the Form 4473. The sellers that the ATF would catch aren't the sellers who sell guns to felons.

The statement above is presented from the belief standpoint that such is the easiest thing in the world to accomplish. Such is not the case. Such is not even close to being the case. Pray tell exactly how would the ATF even locate private firearm sales being carried out throughout the entire united states, in order to set up a random sting investigation?

This matter has already been explained in detail to the former member, Vegas Giants. The ATF has a maximum number of five thousand, one hundred and fifty eight individuals on staff.

    https://www.atf.gov/resource-center/atf-employees

By comparison, there are currently one hundred and thirty nine thousand, eight hundred and forty federally licensed firearm dealers operating within the united states.

    https://www.atf.gov/news/pr/atf-releases-2016-report-firearm-commerce-united-states

That breaks down to more than twenty seven federally licensed firearm dealers, to each and every ATF staff member. ATF is required to audit each dealer once a year to insure their records are accurate, yet such is considered impossible due to limitations on manpower. All of this deals with federally licensed firearm dealers who are easily located, and operating in a fixed location. There is no way for the ATF to conduct random sting investigations of private individuals trading firearms between themselves.

this is because Conservatives HATE the ATF and wish to see it totally fail.

give the ATF the funding and staffing they need or dont complain about their failures

They don't hate it. They just wish that instead of being a federal law enforcement agency that it was a convenience store.
