I have no idea when they were scheduled.. but I am sure it was around the President's calendar.

Pretty typical for politicians to pay homage to the Jewish community in election years.....

 

Then feel free to provide facts to back up that claim.

And don't tell us you were visiting the White House that day between your houses in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

 

And we see petty excuses for not admitting he got the holiday practice and date wrong.

 

All I am coming up with, is similar to what Glitch stated. He has thrown his Jewish money under the bus for a couple of years, and he needs it now. Perhaps this is the first of a few photo ops over the next couple of weeks.

 

Obama said himself "it's a little bit early" in his Hanukkah speech. Obama's going be busy with payroll tax bill and other end of year bills.

Just save your phony outrage for something else.

 

Um, he did admit that he was getting the date wrong....."early" actually....Obama said as much during the event. The way the candles are lit does appear to be a mistake.

I can see that you are giddy as a schoolgirl about this, and I really admire your speaking up for the Jewish people who must surely be offended by this, but which there is no evidence of.......But really, this was a butt kissing move just like the other presidential candidates recently made.

If Obama screwed up the ceremony according to Jewish tradition, Fox News seems to be the only one that noticed......Fox Nation, actually. I scanned the net to find Jewish sources for any complaints or outrage or even recognition of the "mistake"...and they all seem to cover the event without any mention of it.

It's great and all for people to be insuted on behalf of others....but what does matter is if this is some sort of sacrilege or insult to Judaism........and I would only give credence to this from a Jewish source or person who practices Judaism.

It is very apparent to me that this outrage being expressed is wholly and completely manufactured based soely on partisanship. I would think with all of the failings of the president we could come up with an actual real event or action to criticize rather than making one up.

The parties are the Democrats and the Republicans. I don't throw my lot in with either, will never be their cheerleader, and actually despise what both parties are generally doing right now.

Wow. I do post some insightful things. But what have I done to garner such personal attention?

Yes, I support Obama. But not because he's a Democrat. I also supported Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bob Dole, George W. Bush (in his first term)....but not because they were Republicans.

I think poorly of both political parties.....but certainly less of what used to be the GOP. Party politics has become the realm of fundamentalists and I'm a moderate. I know that's really hard for some people who live by the Us vs. Them....With us or against us paradigm to wrap their heads around........but yes, moderates still exist.
