Look at that. Another country that is selling oil outside the petrodollar.
    Iran
    Libya
    Syria
    Russia
    Etc.
This is a war about the petrodollar not WMDs or human rights or anything else.

You don't think it has to do with Venezuela's provocation of the US, not just Obama, in the past 10 years or so?

Provocation? You mean Hugo calling Bush "the devil"?
    http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...&mid=B6C762414DF35AA7EF6BB6C762414DF35AA7EF6B

The US should rather work on its own human rights and freedom violations!!

And yes, I too think it is about the oil, the dollar and trying to keep China out of there.
China is also on the "to do list", namely cutting it off from resources and using the barter system to pay for oil. China builds infrastructure in Venezuela. US doesn't like that. US doesn't like anything that cuts them out and circumvents their dollar. They want a pro western puppet government there, just as in all the other "converted" countries.
Disgusting behavior of such a great country.

Obama is increasingly acting in a bizarre way.

And the State Department's spokesthingy, Jen Psaki, got caught out over her outrageous lie.

The U.S. Also supported the violent coup in the Ukraine. In fact promised the riot leaders government positions in a new Ukraine government.
So I'm not sure what she means by long standing either if she means a few months.
Another Obama administration lie. Getting kinda old and tiring.

"Bizarre" is putting it mildly. It's like he got the idea (in the past couple of years) that he knows what's better for the world than anyone else, and by god, he's going to mess in their elections, threaten, demand and stomp his feet if he doesn't get his way. It's like he actually thinks he's God or something.

This is true. After 8 years of Bush, we have another very inept in foreign affairs president. No brains and no backbone either.

This is farcical! We're backing governments and individuals that commit genocide, and yet Obama has the arrogance to place judgment on others. South America is appalled at the lies of considering a nation with no arms a threat to our national security. While in Europe, Germany is shocked at the 'hallucinations' of Nato's General Breedlove, while his friend Nuland presents her alternative universe view of Crimea and Donbas to the Foreign Relations Committee with nary a person having the courage to question her.

Obama just can't get along with anyone. His foreign policy is a complete disaster from the Russian Reset to the Pivot to Asia to the Arab Spring. Everything he touches turns to crap.

Provocation? What provocations? Are you talking about false flag attacks and accusations towards Washington, or are you talking about their missiles being aimed at us. What Obama is doing is reminiscent of US's past actions...and the South Americans have said as much.

I've heard China is going to build a second canal through Panama. One that can handle supertankers. All with our negative trade balance. I'm thinking with our multinational corporations, who needs enemies.

It's not just Obama, it all of Washington. Lies have become so commonplace with them, that they're starting to lose hold of reality. I think the world is getting very worried, and if it's not then it should be because that's usually a prelude to a major war.

I think it's the dumbest thing. It seems the entire freaking world has gone over the abyss breaking the looking glass for something deeper and blacker. I once had a professor tell me any concept can be described in just a few sentences. If you run into someone that you cant understand the person is probably liar or a con. The world is like that. I do not understand why a lot of things are going on in the world today, bad things, things that haven't happened to this nation, and to the world at large, in fifty years or more. Its like the novel and damn good movie, 'Needful Things'.

At one time it was easy to connect the dots, when a world event happened one could see the reason, perhaps not clearly but see it nevertheless. Oh there has been similar times when the world seemed too tightly wound. When the haves had a lot more than the have nots. When men of high trust, Judges, Cops, Mayors, on up to presidents, CEO's corporate bosses, are more rotten than who they put in jail, we no longer have a moral foundation to build or god forbid fall back. Not here or not in the whole world!
I feel war coming and I think it will be world war before ten years passes. This Venezuela deal is just the latest in a long line of labor pangs, I hope I am wrong.

God bless our republic and God bless the world world.

Why? Obama stated some internal political issues in Venezuela, and yet who dares question the powers that be in Washington?

Yes, war is certain, inevitable. Wars, major ones are tied to the state of economic affairs, and they seem to spring up after an economic collapse, where the financial structure was involved. We are just a few steps away from another, greater collapse, for the system is too complex, too flawed, to survive.

If it is not a nuclear war, but a conventional war, as everyone is scared to use the first nuke, the US is no longer the industrial giant that wins large scale conventional wars, for we gave way our industry, that wins wars. Wars are not won by weapons alone, and we could not even clothe our soldiers if we cannot get that from places like china. We do not have the factories today that can quickly move over to producing what it takes to win big wars. IN fact, deindustrializing America is the greatest security issue that we have today. American no longer can make all that it takes to win large wars. And if you do not think Russia and china doesn't know this, you need your head examined.

Obama's actions are the same as we have seen for a long time. He is actually acting on behalf of banksters, not the People. Every president we have had since Reagan have acted on their behalf, and protected their interests, with our military and with our intelligence agencies. And they are setting us up for another great war. Expect it as soon as the financial sector crashes, worldwide. And that crash cannot be avoided, as many experts will tell you. This house of cards, constructed by banksters and elites will not stand, and that little puff of wind can happen at any moment. Human greed is destructive, even of world civilizations, which is why religion has spoken out against it, for so long. It can literally take you from prosperity into a dark age, when it is allowed to operate at the highest levels. And it has operated at the highest levels for a long time.

I don't disagree, but I will not that Obama is the one leading the charge.

I dare to question Obama on a daily basis, but when he does the right thing I'll support him.

Furthermore, Obama's actions don't put the rights-repressive regime in Venezuela above reproach. I'll judge them both on their own merits.

I agree with everything you said, some a little generally but mostly highly agree. When so called homeland security is buying ammo (over 704 million rounds for DHS alone) and the camps (yes they have tried to debunk the suspicion but have failed here with this member) its obvious the fed is preparing for something they are not telling us. But this is getting somewhat off topic...I say buy or trade for some gold and sliver (junk silver is best ie silver quarters etc), put back a little food, and unregistered firearms, join your and then don't worry about it....lol!

I think it's unjustified to call Venezuela a national threat to the US. A national annoyance is more like it.

No one can accuse Bush of not having a back bone and having a pair.
