A new poll shows that President Obama’s support from Blacks and Hispanics has dipped slightly. His approval rating with Hispanics has dropped from 65 percent to 56 and seven percent for Blacks from 92 to 85 percent.

poll done six weeks ago, 88% of Democrats approved of Obama's job performance. That percentage is now down to 75%,

support among 18-29-year-old voters, whose approval fell by 18 points over that time.

unmarried female voters has been waning. Only 57 percent voted Democrat in the 2010 midterm elections, and according to a Greenberg Quinlan Rosner (GQR) poll, more than half of white, unmarried women voted Republican. In 2012, the numbers don't look promising for the Democrats.
Down from 2008 when Obama carried 56%

the youth vote, so crucial to the Democratic ticket last time, is evaporating. Going into the 2008 election Obama had 63% of the registered voters aged 18 to 34. Today, he's got only 51%. Likewise, Obama's support among 35-to-54-year-olds has crumbled from 53% in 2008 to 43% today.

the Los Angeles Times reports. Since the close of his first 100 days in April, the president has seen his support among white Democrats plummet 11 points, white independents and those over 50 by 9 points, and white women by 12 points, Pew finds.

As of today, 85 percent of African-Americans still say they support the president. That is a lot; that is most.

That being said, however, 85 percent—a seven percent drop in the past month—is the lowest Obama’s Black approval rating

    http://poli-yy.blogspot.com/2011/05/obama-is-losing-support-among-blacks.html

Just 40 percent of whites in the Post/ABC survey approve of the job Obama is doing, his lowest rating among this key demographic since the start of his presidency and well below the 50 percent approval number that he carries nationwide. Forty-three percent of white voters strongly disapprove of the job Obama is doing, while just 19 percent strongly approve.

Among the other lowlights with whites in this poll for Obama: 54 percent of college-educated whites now disapprove of the job he is doing, and, among white college-educated women, Obama's approval numbers has dipped below 50 percent for the first time in his presidency in Post/ABC polling.

If polls didnt matter their wouldnt be a single one in Washington. these numbers show dwindling support for a man who promised everything and delivered nothing. A man who apoligises for America to our enemies. A man who is stopping the keystone pipeline just so his cronies can make a billion off the green energy lie. Americans see thru his lies. He is gone

It is all about the gasoline.

Gasoline prices impact poor and lower middle class Americans the most.

Upper class and wealthy Americans don't have their world change if gasoline is 4 dollars a gallon instead of 3.

But for Americans with less money it means far less money in their pockets. Work, vacation, and all sorts of plans seriously disrupted.

And it's tough on any industry which relies heavily on fuel... which of course affects so much else.

Polls Polls Polls ... what's in a Poll?

For the first time since early July, more Americans approve of the job President Barack Obama is doing than disapprove, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll that shows his approval rating now at 50 percent.

The poll, taken March 8-11 on the heels of reports that 227,000 jobs were added to the U.S. economy in February, indicates that Obama's rating has risen by 2 percentage points during the past month. The percentage of Americans who disapprove of the Democratic president was 48 percent, down from 49 percent in February.

Some other polls have shown a recent dip in Obama's approval rating, and linked that to rising gasoline prices.

Definitely, but it is not exclusively about the gas. There are hispanic orgs consisting of legal immigrants, who abided by the law to become ciitzens...and they have been working hard (and not in friendly fashion) to Obama and the Dems.

And as has been mentioned, hispanics take catholicism to a higher degree than many, and Odumba picked a fight with the catholics.

My friend, some people think that Hispanics aren't bright, so they write them off as being on their side...example, Obama's Administration. Then when they see they were wrong, all of a sudden they are your best friend again. Republicans however simply state their agenda, which is overall in the best interest of all Americans, not just a select group. I have seen your posts many times and I see that you are an enlightened person, and to that I say Bravo. I am sure your brothers will see the light, little by little and help us bring our nation back to a true republic, not a socialist state.

...which means that they have removed the wool from their eyes and are finally seeing the true Obama and they realize he is not their friend.

That is very typical of the liberal horde. If there is a typo in your post it is thrown out in spite of the truth expressed therein.

I expect Obama has a few things scheduled for his campaign: Sept. he will reconsider the Keystone pipe line and put its approval on fast track. He may promise to open up the Gulf a little more. He might even take a look at opening some of our federal lands to drilling. Drilling on federal lands that have shale oil formations would put people to work and add revenue to the federal treasury. In Oct. he could divorce Michelle for the good of his campaign and blame all his bad jokes of her. She drug him to Rev. Wright's church, she spends tax payers money like she entitled to it, she still really hates America and she's ugly.

The poll that showed people still like Obama had 50% dems.

People did blame Bush and it has never been this high in March.
