I have to clear up one of the most common myths on this thread. That Obama likes to give out welfare in order to collect the votes from sponges. (Some welfare takers are lazy sponges, others are genuinely in need).

Obama caters to the rich and the profitable and/or criminal corporations. He has given TRILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to them and the Federal Reserve have fabricated hundreds of billions or trillions for them as well.

    OBAMA (*)(*)(*)(*)S ON THE POUR.

Obamacare is not so much social welfare. It's designed to further cement corporations into health care so they can price-gouge in their role as corporate middlemen. It is the first ever federal legislation that, as far as I know, FORCES people to but goods/services from private corporations.

Obama is the KING of corporate welfare.

Obama has done NOTHING WHATSOEVER to help the poor, and EVERYTHING to hurt them. Steal from them to give to the rich.

The phone-line program is from years before Obama was president. They decided themselves to add mobiles. He had nothing to do with it. SNAP was there for ages before Obama, and again, Obama had NOTHING to do with food stamps, and it's congress who has to get rid of federal social welfare programs.

OBAMA DOES NOTHING FOR SOCIAL WELFARE AND NOR HAS HE AT ANY TIME DURING HIS PREGNANCY. If you disagree, try naming something.

The closest you could argue is that because he robs from the poor, and ruins our economy, this drives up the need for food stamps. And it has. But that's a side consequence of his reckless and internally-destructive policies.

I like social welfare for those in need. I hate corporate welfare.for businesses, whether in need or not (it's not our job to prop up a failed business model).

So it would be NICE for Obama to help the struggling poor, but he's not. I won't give him false credit for a nice thing he has never done.

*sigh* You fail to realise that there's no inherent conflict with corporate and public welfare...

    He's BOTH.

LMAO I know right.. But the thing is, I don't use autocorrect. What happened is the word actually sprang up in my mind instead of the similar word!

Yeah Obama's not doing anything during his pregnancy.

    - - - Updated - - -

He's not social welfare in the slightest. Name some things Obama has actually done towards social welfare if you disagree.

You didn't even bother reading my post I can see.

That's not answer to my question.. I asked what has Obama done.. That gets answered by a verb, not a noun.

The phones are part of a federal program established years before Obama. They decided to add mobiles to the program. That had nothing to do with Obama.

This law forces people to buy insurance. It gives nothing for free.

Words aren't welfare. Any quotes you think prove your point?

Hes referred to as the welfare President because his policies have lead to so many more people being on welfare, food stamps and free Obama phones. And he did drop the work requirement for welfare.

    What's this about Obama's pregnancy? ;)

    - - - Updated - - -

Mandatory private insurance is corporate welfare, not "welfare" in the traditional sense.

 Nope, can't disagree with that. ;)

He has done at least one thing for welfare royalty that I know something about, though - he's apparently made it easier for them to get unemployment benefits. I wonder if he's prepared to dial that back now that we are allegedly in recovery, though :D

That's exactly what I said. He ROBS from the poor, so there is more need for food stamps.

The thing people always say is that Obama is giving out welfare, trying to score votes and such. He's not. The increased need for food stamps was a tangential consequence of his NON-socialist agenda. He has the corporate agenda like republicrats always have. Money has been steadily trickling up like it has been for decades. As poverty grows so will the need for welfare.

And why are you still calling them Obamaphones? Obama had nothing to do with it, except for tens of millions who got duped by a youtube hoax.

The phoneline assistance program was codified in the Clinton years, and expanded to include mobiles in the Bush years.

So you can be more honest by calling them Clintonphones or Bushphones.

When was that? How? Which program(s)?

First of all, there's much more waste, pork, and unnecessary corporate welfare you can scale back first. But, as the rest of the world (especially Europe, in particular Greece) when cuts need to happen, it's always the public first, the bankers/corporations/military/pet projects/corporate subsidies last.

But what did Obama do? As far as I know, the president doesn't manage those programs, although the congress might.

But I'd want to know what he did and when and which program because as far as I know he has never helped the poor. I wish he would, at least before the banksters and such. I doubt that's even in his job description, as these programs come from legislative statue; the only executive involvement is when they are signed into law.

Yeah, I don't know what all he manages personally, but he's accorded a lot of power and people tend to lay the responsibility for everything at his feet anyway. All part of the job, right?

Of course I can only agree about how the banksters and such are treated vs. how we, hoi poloi, are. Where the money is, there is the power, the influence. We are simply given programs to follow.

Yes! I noticed that too. Everything's always the president. Especially the economy. People all attribute it to the president, and the president does have a role, absolutely, but it's more in the hands of the congress.

Congress needs to do so many things differently. My disapproval of congress is higher than even Obama's. And that's BAD trust me.

Of course the president does still do things that aren't his job.. For example, he entered into a treaty with Afghanistan while treaties are the job of the congress.

    Nice post btw.

i just love it when the left finally begins to understand their idols. of course the pretender in chief has done nothing for the poor, just like the rest of the democrats. they may talk a good game, but they never really get anything done. their programs amount to high profile give-aways that merely throw crumbs to the undeserving, but the rabble keep coming back for more. time and time again we have watched as the gullible public eats up what these charlatans spew and they never deliver on their promises. they get into office and greed takes over. you'd think the public would have wised up over the years. you'd think someone would have gotten a clue, but they never do. the american left is as clueless as the day is long and they'll keep voting in the pie in the sky idjits. it sometimes takes years or even decades for the damage to become apparent and by then it's someone else's problem, someone else is in power and the mess can all be blamed on them.

some day, probably long after i'm dead and gone, the american left may finally figure out that they really do have to take care of themselves, that government never is going to take care of them. some day they may just realize that their failures really aren't someone else's fault and that they really do have to take some responsibility and some initiative to succeed. some day they may begin to understand that all the fear spread by these lunatics, fear of the boogie man within their midst, is just a ruse to get them to cede their power as individuals to a corporate welfare state. then again, maybe they never will figure it out.

You have some very thoughtful points in this post.

The corporate state is built by the republicans and democrats alike.

The problem is, this will not change. Even after your lifetime, until people stop playing this retarded left/right game and forcing their world view into arbitrary opinion templates that have been designed for them.

That's why 95% of voters keep voting for republicrats. It's right to hate the fascist, but then why go vote for the tyrant instead?

Until people get their head around the fact that we are enslaved by the same political party, the same party that made laws to stifle any non republicrat candidate, and stop voting for any republican OR democrat, things won't change.

It's division because we are genetically wired to form teams and hate outsiders. The powers that be took advantage. They also exploit people's natural desire for a sense of identity, where representing a side makes people feel good. People get so busy whining about the other side, they just refuse to acknowledge the same thing happening on their side. Then they go vote for their own side, not realizing they're still voting for the same thing.

And the complaints all echo over the years, as the same. People should notice their votes have never fixed these things.

For example, people complained about reckless foreign policy of Bush. So they voted for Obama (not me). What did they get? Reckless foreign policy! People complained about deregulation from Clinton. What did they get from Bush? Deregulation. People complained about Bush attacking civil liberties. What did Obama do? etc.

Well, I don't know if you were wrong after all. He's been pregnant with the assumption that he's qualified to be President, but I think that he's now seen that he doesn't have a clue, and has delivered that baby. Though he's keeping the delivery on the down-low.

I'm just wondering who the father is- Alinsky or Soros.

The two sides are equivalent in all important ways but one, and that is the most important way.

Overall, the Right tends far more often to depend on God when they get out of bed. That difference is the greatest determiner of long-term success.

You should NEVER think that both sides are the same. That doesn't mean we shouldn't go outside the parties to find new politicians. And I think we SHOULD.

But we better make sure they're smart enough to know that the universe didn't just happen out of the working of probability through time or non-time.

The future leaders of our country better darn well know that God exists, and that the knowledge of God can have an effect on human events.

The ACA should help the poor. Maybe it will, maybe it won't. But Obama is a trickle-down supply-sider just like every Republican who went before him. He doesn't have the ability to change that because that's the way the belief system is set up. Until that changes and lower and middle income people have some cash in their pockets, the country will remain FUBAR.

Phoebe when will leftist shills ever figure out that you can't put money in the pocket of the middle class, except for government workers, by ripping of the rich. Again If you take 2/3rds of my bosses money where the hell does he get the money to give me a raise or hire me some help?
