With this in mind, I agree with the GOPers, he's doing a terrible job!

1. A terrible job in ruining the US Oil industry
2. A terrible job in at enslaving the USA to the islamists, who've controlled the oil trade for decades

Obama sucks! All he has to do (and I was assured by many GOPers here that in fact he is), is to be oil business un-friendly... but he can't even do that right!

And, the rest of the story.....
drilling on private land is way up
while drilling and new permits to drill on federal land is down.

and please....let's not pretend progressive eco-weenies aren't suing to halt fracking.

Leffe do you really think Obama or any other politician really cares about anything other that power ? I remember being that naive myself so it is understandable if you do

The rules and regs for drilling on public lands are far more stringent.

Article: "America enjoys oil rush as world switches to other energy sources"

Out of curiosity, why did you make up a new name for the article. There is not a mention of Obama in the article. Confused in Oregon.

Horizontal drilling has been around since the 1960s.. and is now done in real time 200 miles from the drill site.

The reason that US production is up is because the PPB is high.

Don't forget the real reason we are going in Syria. Syrian oil production is at an all time high since the beginning of the year. Also they are selling the oil not using the American dollar to china and Russia. Now we can be having that. Lets just look at the countries that don't use the American dollar to trade oil. Iran, Syria, Iraqi , Afghanistan, Lydia etc. Wow we seem to at war with all of these. Do you think syria might be about oil? Is Obama starting a war for oil ? Sure looks that way. He didn't care about chemical weapons being used over a month ago when the rest of the nations said that there were chemicals used. Now he is in hot water locally and this would make for a good diversion. Wow he is Obushma war for oil and ratings.

So you are saying that all these so called wars have nothing to do with oil and the use of the dollar

I work for a company that provides tools for the oil industry, we are doing fine and looking to expand their operations. So much for the OP.

Actually, it is McCain that's been trying to start a war in Syria. Obama is trying to avoid war. McCain has been trashing Obama for not getting involved militarily in Syria for years now. He recently stepped up his pressure by going to Syria and having a nice photo op while pledging US help in their civil war. It is the republicans that enjoy fighting for profit. They get paid by the companies that make the war machines to start wars up so they can profit from them.

But as soon as Obama lets McCain bully him onto the war that you claim he doesn't want that makes Obama just as crazy as McCain.

Right?

From the OP. The title of the article cited is "America enjoys oil rush as world switches to other energy sources"

Um...sell nuclear, oil and buy geothermal, concentrated solar thermal & hybrids of these plants?

Not really. Most likely Obama will lead from behind like he did before and the GOPers will go insane because Obama didn't jump into an all out war that will last decades and end in disgrace all the while the war machine industry is making big bucks.

Lead from behind?

You mean the usual Obama tactic of taking credit when things go right and avoiding blame when they go wrong?

If Obama adopts McCains policy it is solely obamas fault whether libs admit it or not.

They produce a little over 400,000 barrels per day (about the same as Australia), of that about 150,000 are exported, mostly going to Germany, Italy, and France. It is their chief export.

We had much more to gain in Libya.

Syria is about Iran, and Iran is about Israel, and Israel occupies part of Syria... and its a mess.

the standards are the same whether on federal land or state land or private land..it goes by the states rules..here in california we have the harshest standards of all states..if on federal land you have atleast three inspectors to deal with..where on private land you will dral with the local inspector and maybe a private inspector if the landowner hires one..

here in calif taxes on a gallon of gas is about 68 cents..gas rounds around 3.80 per gallon..it is estimated that speculators accpunt fpr 25 % increase in the cost of gas..around 90 cents per gallon..end speculation..if you cant use it or take control of it to refine it then you should not have to right to bid on it..
