OK, just jump up and cheer lead anything and everything "The One" does... but When I see a line like this in the lead paragraph: "but there's debate on whether it will jump start the economy." I am reminded of the "Cash for cars" program that Nancy Pelosi and company could not wait to triple to $3 billion...and then they found out it was a great stimulus to the auto industry - in Germany and Japan.
Actually its a great start. You should note that this isn't a settlement that lets the banks off the hook for any further criminal charges and liabilities that will be uncovered by the fed/state commission created to nail the scumbags. But why not react superficially to it.
There are some state attorney general offices looking hard at criminal investigations. They should be in jail!!!
