Obama Needs to Quit Playing "Blame Game". Oh and BTW, So Does the GOP

So Obama played the blame game for quite a while. Say oh, about four years. He got away with it because anyone not drinking the kool-aid, remembered that the crap hit the fan BEFORE he took office. The market crashed, unemployment soared, housing hit the toilet, the suprlus turned out to be a horrible deficit and so on. Thus he spent the first two years of his presidency playing the blame game.

Obama did a horrible job during his first 18 months and the GOP captured the House. The blame game stopped working.

The GOP made it clear their goal was to make Obama a one term president. They claimed that government doesn't create jobs and concurrently, that government was responsible for the loss of jobs. They blocked every bill and even a cost of living adjustment for veterans. They clogged up the courts by blocking more judicial appointments than any congress in US history. They effectively shut down government. They played the Blame Game. "Don't blame us for intentionally damaging our country, we're just stopping the evil guy in the White House!" was their mantra. And a lot of people were happy to chant it with them. So the GOP did a horrible job during their 2 years in power.

While the Blame Game shifted from the Dems to the GOP, the Dems tried something else:

Action. Solutions. Detailed bills.

They proposed the Jobs Act. It was too much but it was more than the GOP had offered. So they watered it down and proposed it again. And again until they had support from their own party members. The GOP killed every version.

The Dems proposed the Veteran's Jobs Act. The GOP killed it, claiming their reasoning had nothing to do with stopping a Dem bill but rather, that dollar for dollar cuts weren't made. Then they passed a defense budget increase that didn't offer dollar for dollar cuts.

The Dems proposed The Insourcing Bill to eliminate the tax loopholes for shipping jobs overseas and offered a permanent tax credit for bringing jobs home to the USA. The GOP killed it because - the Dems wouldn't allow them to add the pork they wanted to the bill.

The Dems offered bills with detailed and complete solutions and ideas that might have helped our country. But we'll never know because the GOP Congress filibustered more than any in US history.

The GOP said what we really need is lower taxes for the rich and corporations. Just like we had under Bush. They offered nothing we haven't already seen fail.

And we noticed.


Killing good bills isn't something to be proud of.

You're not a victim because the "Liberal Media" reports verifiable facts.

The only people who bought into "We're shutting down government to protect you from the Muslim Socialist in the WH!" were old white men who claim not to get all their opinions from FOX - and just coincidentally have opinions that all exactly match FOX's.

And the Dems took the WH again.

And they took more seats in the Senate.

And they took more seats in the House.

The Blame Game stopped working for Obama and the Dems in 2010.
It stopped working for the GOP in 2012.
