Lacking the clear vision and suddenly abundant balls of UK PM David Cameron, who had no problem directly stating that Islamism is the ABSOLUTE ROOOT CAUSE of ISLAMIC TERRORISM, Pres. Barack "The Wet Noodle" Obama exposed the calculated fecklessness that has been one of the trademarks of his presidency.

Instead of joining Cameron in his courageous, direct denunciation of the OBVIOUS CAUSE of nearly ALL THE TERRORISM IN THE WORLD, Obama, naturally, chose the "PC" route, with the same tired, old rhetoric about how terrorism "isn't really islam", etc., ignoring the FACT that islam is the exact reason the terrorists give for their savagery.

Obama seems to still have the delusion that he can "charm" the islamist animals into "liking us", at the same time he claims to be going to war with them. You cannot have it BOTH WAYS, Mr.Pres.; we need to openly state who we KNOW OUR ENEMIES ARE, and set about KILLING THEM, not trying to "befriend" them at the same time.

IOW- more of the same bull(*)(*)(*)(*) from the weakest POTUS in history. Here's the video of the embarrassment:

Strong reaction to Obama statement: 'ISIL is not Islamic'

(CNN) -- President Barack Obama was trying to make a broader point when he uttered "ISIL is not Islamic," but the four-word phrase could still come back to haunt him.

Critics on Twitter quickly fired off on the President for making the assertion, with many noting that ISIL in fact stands for the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant." (CNN refers to the group by the acronym ISIS in its news reports. The group recently started calling itself the Islamic State).

In full context, here's what Obama said in his prime-time speech Wednesday night:

"ISIL is not 'Islamic.' No religion condones the killing of innocents, and the vast majority of ISIL's victims have been Muslim. And ISIL is certainly not a state; it was formerly al Qaeda's affiliate in Iraq and has taken advantage of sectarian strife and Syria's civil war to gain territory on both sides of the Iraq-Syrian border. It is recognized by no government nor by the people it subjugates."

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No matter what catastrophes continue to hatch as a result of the Obama Doctrine's idiocy, especially ( bot NOT ONLY) in the Middle East, Obama still cannot state the obvious, or admit how COMPLETELY WRONG HE HAS BEEN about islamist terrorism, since 2009.

Americans are sick up to here of this buffoon...as ALL POLLS CLEARLY SHOW.....

Amazing not defining your enemy. Is it any wonder why a community lying organizer would think any different. He has no problem identifying his enemies of politics

:machinegun:We should send that nuthead over there and have him ask them what they really are. That would also get rid of our problem with him here.

So, if they are NOT "Islamic" Obama....then what are they? What is then driving their hatred.....for women, Christians, and anything NOT Islamic???? I would like for Obama to be asked what he believes IS driving their extremism.

I don't know who the ANSWERnik in Chief is trying to impress with these useless platitudes. Has he been squeezing CAIR for donations?

Personally, I prefer the term Islamist, but Obama & Co. don't have the stones to go there, either:

Nor do we describe our enemy as "jihadists" or "Islamists" because jihad is a holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam, meaning to purify oneself or one's community...

It's a very common apologist talking point to say that "Islam forbids the killing of innocents". It's true — however what they don't tell you is that no non-Muslim is considered to be innocent because their rejection of Muhammad and his religion is a rebellious act against God.

Fighting these "radical Islamic groups" is never going to be a winning strategy for the West. The problem is Islam itself. The ones who are becoming terrorists are simply those Muslims who are following the Qur'an more closely than the so called "moderates".

That goes for ISIL and IS, but let's not be troubling people with inconvenient facts...

Bush said the same thing about Al Quaeda, that they were "twisting" the religion. Were you all outraged then? Something tells me no, you weren't. I'm no fan of Obama, but what do you want him to do? Declare war on all Muslims?

I thought Bush's speech after 9/11 declaring Islam to be a peaceful religion is one of the worst moments in US history, actually. It was an embarrassment. And I have made numerous posts on the subject in the past, so that "something" (ignorance) that is telling you no is wrong.

Well, the Grand Mufti of Washington, DC says otherwise, so it must be true.

I wonder where the Islamic Religious Scholar in Chief earned his religious credentials - Al-Azhar? The Islamic University of Madinah?

I don't know who Obama is kidding wading into that subject...

Bush was pandering to Islam and so is Obama. Get over it.

He might properly identify a strain of Islam that spawns inhuman killers and psychopaths for a start. But expecting the plain truth from Obama would be too much to expect, I suppose.

What a ridiculous suggestion. Why don't we try something a little more intellectually honest, like speaking plainly?

It's true - Bush was unwilling too define our Islamist/jihadist enemies, too. Shall we give Obama a pass for making the same mistake?

    Tu quoque everyone?

Anyway... Obama will protect Islamists at any cost, this isn't news.

Yes....and the difference is that Bush made sure he separated the two; Islamic extremists from the rest of that religion. Obama just tries to claim that ISIS is NOT Islamic. But there clearly are: Islamic extremists. Why can't he or won't he just say it????

That's because Obama is a Muslim himself. Stop fooling yourselves. He is no Christian and he went to that racist church just to be groomed for the takeover of this country which is happening right now. Whoever doesn't see this is a jackass.

No Islam is the problem plain and simple. Stop fooling yourself. It has been a problem since it's inception. All they do is slaughter people.

Not that I disagree with you, I am adamantly non religious and actually consider the great Marduk the one true god!

But on that note, I must ask the question of left wing hypocrisy.

The left constantly talks about how one thing that happens in Christianity paints all Christianity with the same brush.

Why do you guys give Islam a pass then?

In many respects, Obama is right saying they are not Islamic; meaning they do not follow the tenets of Islam.....or they have taken parts of the Quran and distorted it in order to do as they wish. But they ARE "Islamic extremists." What I would like to see, however, is for the "good" followers of that faith to speak out against those who are distorting their religion and abusing it. That is what makes some wonder how much they really do object to what they see ISIS doing. Or perhaps they are simply afraid.

Here's the tenets (beliefs) of ISIS:

    1. Seeks to establish a caliphate

The caliphate that ISIS wishes to establish, however, is based on a distorted view of a past Islamic civilization. The group is modeling its empire off one that never truly existed.

It wants to establish a global Islamic state based on its beliefs, and will kill anyone that stands in the way.

The group does not stand for Islam, however, as the Quran specifically prohibits the killing of innocent civilians. It has bastardized a religion followed by over 1 billion people. The vast majority of these followers are peaceful individuals who do not believe in extremism or violence.

    2. The leader of ISIS believes that he is fighting on behalf of all Muslims.

Islam is followed by over 1 billion people; however, the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has the audacity to believe that he fights on behalf of all of them.

He does not include Shiites in this, despite the fact that there are nearly 200 million Shia Muslims worldwide. He also says that he is the representative of God on earth. ISIS does not speak for Islam.

    3. ISIS wants to exterminate the Yazidi people, and believes that they are “devil worshippers.”

The Yazidi people are an ethno-religious minority located primarily in Northern Iraq. Their religion combines elements of both Zoroastrianism and Islam, which has led ISIS to label them as “devil-worshippers.”

ISIS plans to wipe them off the face of the earth, which is a large part of the reason President Obama recently authorized airstrikes in Iraq.

    4. ISIS believes that those who do not convert to its version of Islam should be executed; it wants to cleanse the world of those who do not believe what it believes.

ISIS has already begun executing both Yazidis and Christians, even after they have been forced at gunpoint to convert to their own hellish version of Islam. In one instance, they forced a Christian man to convert at gunpoint, and then beheaded him.

    5. ISIS condones using fear and brutality as tactics for its supremacy.

ISIS has engaged in beheadings, floggings and crucifixions, among other brutal tactics. Moreover, its adherents have deliberately videotaped many of these heinous acts.

As a result, the group has been extremely effective in instilling fear in the hearts of others. This is a large part of the reason that many Iraqi soldiers have fled their posts and refused to fight ISIS. Fear has become an extremely potent weapon for ISIS.

    6. ISIS believes that by killing those who do not serve its cause, it’s making the world a better place.

Literally, the group feels that by executing those who do not convert, it is cleansing the world. The adherents are not fighting to protect themselves, or against any particularly state or government, they are simply fighting to establish their own insane version of reality.

    7. It believes in burying women and children alive in the name of its cause.

Along with killing 500 Yazidis, reports claim that ISIS buried women and children alive.

    8. It believes that slavery is okay.

According to reports, ISIS has enslaved hundreds of Yazidi women.

    9. ISIS believes that it will take over parts of Africa, Asia and Europe over the next five years.

Indeed, ISIS has a five-year plan to take over parts of Africa, Asia and Europe.

This plan should not be taken lightly, as ISIS is extremely disciplined militarily and is well-financed. Many believe that ISIS now poses a greater threat to the West than al-Qaeda.

    10. ISIS believes that violence is the path to paradise.

ISIS is so blinded by its own delusional ambitions that it does not care if it drags the rest of the globe into chaos in the process. It is perhaps the most radical group the world has ever seen. Accordingly, ISIS must be taken seriously and responded to swiftly."

Explain how they are "twisting" the religion. How can millions upon millions of people be misunderstanding their own religion like this?

Not really. I work and deal with a great many Muslim people, and they don't slaughter anyone. They consider the people who do a great shame on their religion.

I don't know. I don't paint Christianity with any brush though as a Christian I am shamed by some who use it's name to benefit themselves. Those who do would be rightly called hypocrite. Being a Muslim or a Christian doesn't automatically mean we/they all think/act the same.

He's right. ISIS has as much to do with Islam as abortion clinic terrorists have to do with Christianity.
Americans are sick of the lying, dishonest, anti-American diarrhea that spews from the right.
    Thanks for playing.
