President Obama has side-stepped Congress by implementing portions of the UN Small Arms Trade Treaty through an executive order which can be used to ban the import of all firearms, ammunition and related supplies and accessories. While patriots across the nation rejoiced when the US congress rejected flat on its face an attempt to force the United States into the UN Small Arms Treaty just weeks later a more sinister ulterior motive has been revealed. Today, President Obama by passed congress and signed an executive which gives the federal government a power to completely ban the importation of guns, ammunition and even parts and accessories related to firearms. I see more of the same right wing paranoia. The treaty does not "ban guns" in the US. Use some common sense.
Don't know what to believe here, and am not watching a one hour video from the masked man. Obama cannot make law. He can only sign Executive Orders with regard to the application of laws on the books which fall within the Executive Branch's domain. EO's are supposed to be about implementation. I'd like to hear this from a more credible source than the masked man.
