I read the entire article and nowhere in the article does it say that it only applies to conservative American's and not Liberal American's.

 

What else could one expect from a socialist president? But basically as a lame duck president he can go pound sand. It's not going to happen during what's left of his second term . . . and that's not something that can be decreed by Executive Order, and I don't care how many pens or phones he uses.

silly liberals. if the gas tax isn't enough to pay for road repairs, stop diverting the money to pay for stupid (*)(*)(*)(*), and THEN raise it. adding another layer of bureaucracy with an easy to cheat on scheme will do nothing.

 

Many things become established realities based on precedents and history whether so stated or not. Based on past implied events, and previous applications, it can be assumed it will happen.

course gas is based on supply and demand, the lower the demand the lower the cost of gas... thus those that use public transportation not only give us more space on our roads, but also lower demand for gas

 

And what, pray tell, would he do with a gun? I try to form a mental picture of that guy, contemplating a firearm, and all I see is fail. OK. He'd draw a red line in front of it, and tell his opponents: "If you dare cross this line..."

The State of Oregon has a mileage tax initiated. I'd like to see how that works.


Problems:

#1 A mileage tax seems like double taxation because the fuel is already heavily taxed.
I know, apply mileage tax only to hybrid and electric vehicles.

#2 A mileage tax is a Regressive Tax. It hurts poorer people much more.
Rural folks are poor and must drive a lot.
Poorer folks live further from their employment than wealthier folks.
Look at your own area and witness where Housing for the Poor is located and where their jobs are.


Obama, A Democratic Party, excuse me, Democratic Wing of the RepuloCratic Party President
has hurt working people more than any previous Democratic Presidents and probably most GOP ones too.

Good luck with that. I have two vehicles with exempt odometers. I can easily swap them out with lower mileage ones also.
