Obama to Propose College Ratings System on Bus Tour

The president will call for rating colleges before the 2015 school year and identifying those that are doing the most to help disadvantaged students. Once that system is in place, Mr. Obama will ask Congress to allocate financial aid based on those ratings by 2018.

Under the plan, which is expected to spur pushback and concern among some colleges, colleges would be rated on measures such as affordability and outcomes, including graduation and transfer rates. Students at top-performing colleges could receive larger federal grants and more affordable student loans.

Great idea; let the student set tuition rates and if the little heads full of mush can make the grade then blame the teachers and reduce their pay.

Why not just arrest the mean old professor that never like BH Obama - he was Barry then- but gave him good grades to make the school look like they cared about their Black foreign exchange students.

They have kissed BHO's ass all of his adult life and helped his alcoholic father of record and his slut mother and now he turns on them like he has the unions.

 

In what way does having schools that have better performing students equate to allowing the students to set the rates? Bit of a jump eh?

Amazing. With all the crap going on that a president should be addressing, he's hoping on a bus tour to taut more big government intervention, this time dealing with colleges. Where on the scale of important issues facing the country does rating colleges fall? Fact is, it doesn't. It's not even on the list. So, why is Obama taking a two day bus tour to purpose his latest grand plan that no one cares about? Simple. He's a coward. He wants to escape DC because he'll be insulated from taking a stand on the murder of Christians in Egypt or addressing the new part time economy via the ACA, his card playing antics during the Benghazi raid or a host of other SERIOUS issues American's are concerned about.
Frankly, Obama isn't capable of leading this country, he never has been. He's an empty suit who's popularity is based on rhetoric and appearance and this latest bus tour he will use both to advance his image by touting his latest scheme to advance big gov populism.

 

Education is the one issue that I actually support Obama on especially when compared to the awful "No child left behind crap". However this doesn't really make any sense as the amount of loans and grants you get is already determined by which school, how much income and even how much you spend on rent. Hell they even ask you how much cash you have on hand. He is literally proposing nothing new at all.

 

I think obama knows affirmative action is illegal, and hes gonna do an end run....
