When the Democrats postponed the employer mandate until 2015, I almost fell out of my seat. Why would the Democrats take away this mandate and leave the individual mandate in place? Simple. They want the Republicans to repeal the other mandate AS PLANNED. This makes everything seem left obvious. After you remove both mandates, what does that leave us with? Simple. It leaves us with a bunch of health insurance companies that have no choice but to take in people with pre-existing conditions. Those who keep their health insurance for security purposes will have no incentive to continue paying. Why pay if you can buy insurance just when you need it? This will eventually lead to the bankruptcy of most health insurance companies. Either that or the cost of private health insurance will be so high that nobody will able to afford it. And then what happens? The government ends up becoming the SINGLE PLAYER with affordable healthcare plans. This is exactly how Obama planned it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Republicans were in on it too.
