    The opt outs end in 2014. The primary reason is that many of those that are opting out provide some small health care benefits to their employees, but since the exchanges are not set up, nor the expansion of medicaid in effect yet for very low wage employees, the companies are being allowed to continue the mini-medical plans they offer, to provide some access to coverage for their employees, who would otherwise have no health insurance of any kind.

    Unions? Small health care benefits?

    Fact is that this will force most employers out of giving health care insurance so you will not be able to keep the plan you have, as promised.

    Most small employers will get significant tax breaks if they keep coverage. If they choose not to, then they should give the employees the money they were spending on health care, and let them get into the exchanges.

    There are still not for profit health care organizations, they will substitute for the public option. The way the law is written, the not for profits will be very competitive with the for profits.

    A manufactured right given by force of government by abusing other rights. That is not the definition of a true right.

    In a democratic nation, the people define what is a right and what is not. It is very clearly stated in the Preamble to the Constitution

    That is exactly it. Friends with money and votes. Which should tell you how important this legislation really is if they can give passes to their buds. Real Chicago politics.

    Of course, they end in 2014. The Friends of Obama will no more be covered by Obamacare than will Obama and his family. Had Congress been required to go under Obamacare with the serfs they might have read the (*)(*)(*)(*)ed thing before they passed it.

    If you want Free (18% of your income to start with and going up from there) medical care, then go to one of your supposed developed economic countries. Obama started out saying it would cost 900 billion over 10 years, that has now moved up to 1.73 trillion over the same 10 years and it hasn't even gone into effect yet. And if you would bother reading the fine print you would see that it's stated so that EVERYONE in the U.S. will eventually be on it so then you will have to move that marked up ove 4 trillon a year. NO THANK YOU, I will keep what I have.

    I will once more point out the 10th amendment;

    The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

    UHC is a States Right, not a Federal one. By your logic the state would be responcible for your comlete welfare from the craddle to the grave. NO THANK YOU.

    Kepp your Socialist nonsense in the country where you reside, we don't need it here.

    The Congress shall have Power - To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

    Its pretty broad one can argue that its under the Department or Officer thereof area that is those powers of the government undefined but added to the areas of the government due to need. If one goes through the powers there is nothing allowing for a permanent standing army, air force, most Federal laws and various major government departments like the FBI or CDC but they are there. Using your logic all of these powers would revert to the states would you like to be forced into a state militia or if there is a drug cartel we could not use interstate powers to fight them each state would be on its own.

    I have no issue with the government having a health care authority I just think this law was done sloppily.

    Anyway the Supreme Court will decide this and if its constitutional or not, but its a major and unique economic market they could extend powers to allow it quite easily.

    True, the SC will decide OCs fate. I still think it is or should be a state issue.

    If the USSC decides it is constitutional for Congress to dictate what you have to buy for the "greater good", then what next? Cigarettes because of all the beneficial taxes?
