Ok, I have heard opinions from all sides on the impacts of the ACA, so I decided to check the exchanges myself to see what kind of insurance I might be able to get. So, I went to http://www.coveroregon.com/ and ran some figures. Household = 2 people age 53 and 51. Average annual income = $70,000.00 The lowest monthly plan I was able to find was $520/month. This $520/month comes with a $5,000 individual deductible and a $10,000 family deductible. This plan only plays a max of 40% of my medical costs and only 50% of my prescription costs. I didn't even bother to check if my current family doctor was listed as a preferred provider. If he isn't, I would need to either find another doctor or accept that this plan will pay even less than it already does. And it gets better. No tax deductions, government assistance, or refund. This is outrageous. Say goodbye to what is left of the middle class.
I really don't understand why I need to give out so much information to find out what each tier offers and from whom. I couldn't just browse the options, they require you to offer up personal information to even move to that step, which I find offensive.
Socialists are the ones who created Obamacare and the goal of a socialist is to CONTROL citizens and to control citizens you need to know as much about their private business as possible.
