Ahh yes. Christie. The "use public resources" to retaliate against political foes. Great man (Atypical of the republican representative, though).

Well, YES, they could. The worry for the young is not sickness but accidents. Accident insurance is cheap. And Their auto insurance also covers accidents. in most states.

Check with a licensed insurance agent to find what a catastrophic medical policy for a youngster cost before obamascam. You'll be surprised how little it cost. But those days are GONE now.

And you think Hilary will do this? Really. She is in the back pockets in many lobby's. Like Monsanto, insurance companies, GM, lobbyist for the keystone pipeline. Etc.
She is already raising money from some of the largest corp. Explain to me how she won't owe them and will be willing to do something that will take money out their pockets?

Due date? The debt is ALWAYS due. A gnat knows that. Every bond issued has both an interest payable schedule and a retirement date included in the issue. You SHOULD have known that.

How does the govt sustain the unsustainable? This is hilarious. Right now and for over 4 years, the government has been BORROWING $85,000,000,000.per MONTH. Just from the Federal Reserve. Roughly $5 TRILLION borrowed without security so far. Plus what others have lent the govt, ALL with due dates. Did you not know the debt is composed of BONDS and that Bonds do pay interest and have due dates?

National Debt when obobo took office. [source US TREASURY]

    $10,626,877,048,913.08

    National debt NOW. [01/16/2014]

    $17,270,240,354,364.86

    Difference

    $6,643,363,305,451.78.

230 YEARS to run the debt from $0.00 to $10.6 trillion. 60 months to increase it from $10.6 trillion to $17.3 trillion.

If you are blind to the obvious unsustainability of that, I can't help you.

Who pays congress when the govt shuts down. DUH,,,they don't gert paid. You didn't know that TOO?

    Who bailx out the government?

EVERYONE that buys a govt bond or sells anything to the govt on credit.

Take an ecomoics clas of even a remedial math class.

I'll be the one with the smile. I'll look for the weeping liberal. Are you going to vote in Florida TOO?

Did you know there is positive proof that both Jimmy Hoffa and Usama Bin Laden are dead?

They're both registered as Democrats to vote in Chicago. Proof positive they are dead.

I will neither smile nor cry (with the exception of smiling politely to the poll-workers, as I always do).

I won't be weeping. I look at all of this as a process.

And Florida? Who wants to live there?! :)

How stupid is your commentary? (Let me count the screen names, once I add you to the 'ignore' list. Maybe you'll be #40.)

    Really?

We can produce polls that say that the vast majority of Americans have favored single payer health insurance for the last fifty years!!!!!!!

Fortunately, I do not. I do not believe I have ever lived in one. But if you do then you do have my sympathy.

    I prefer liberty.

"People are individuals, but you want all of us to be part of a massive government health collective..."
I am sorry, I did not pay enough attention to the context. Do you believe a commonwealth is a collective? Do we now have the socialist states of Pennsylvania and Virginia?

I spent a few minutes looking. It is a term with no legal force. But if you live in one you do have my sympathy.

We have them in the U.S.A.

They are not bad, as you seem to imagine.

Imagine that. We almost agree. Corporations cannot be tyrannical. You are free to start your own corporation. Given that you are, at least in your own mind, a genius, I am certain you will do well.

I am happy with you living in one if you are happy living in one. The US is not a commonwealth. So what was the point of your question?

Let me cut to the chase:

Some aspects of these United States are socialist, and likely always will be.

If people benefit (profit) from living and operating here, then THE PEOPLE will expect something in return.

And no conservative mumbo jumbo will cause that to change.

Some of what we do will be based upon capitalistic principles and others will be socialistic. It was that way, long before now.

That's what YOU say, but I know that it isn't so.

Do you understand that? (I hope you do, someday.)

    Question:

How is the ACA not 'better' than the previous healthcare system?

I understand that people like you are always looking for a reason to take more of what I earn.

Perhaps you should spend just a little bit of time to think about what you are doing and just how evil you actually are. I hope you will recognize the nature of this evil and the damage that you have done to this nation based on your beliefs.

But that is not the way to bet.

    We must disagree upon that.

Still, others can arrive at better conclusions and compromises than we might imagine. And I hope that will up being the case.

Anyone may answer, in their own opinion.

    I'm just curious.

You did not answer my question. When is the DUE DATE of the national debt? Give me the exact date. When is our 17 trillion dollar debt due?

I am well aware of the dollar amounts. Futhermore, capitalizing TRILLION does not intimidate me.

Yes, I know that bonds have due dates. In fact, you are making my point for me. Who invests in government bonds? (Hint Hint!)

The debt has been running up for 230 years, and all of a sudden because Obama is in office running up national debt is unsustainable?

News flash: EVERY SOVEREIGN GOVERNMENT in the WORLD has national debt. Many of them have greater debt respective to their economies. When is this day of reckoning?

Congress got paid when the government shut down. Actually, 83% of federal employees got paid.

Ding ding ding! We have an answer!

Any citizen in the world that INVESTS in a US Treasury security is bailing out the U.S. Government. That is WHY national debt exists! If there is no debt, there are no SAVINGS for the private sector. Who sells the government things on credit? You do. You have a mortgage, car loan, or student loan. You are BORROWING the same money BACK to the government through the FEDERALLY INSURED banks :)

You work on your spelling. I suggest you keep away from personal attacks; I have a degree in Engineering.

Does the auto insurance cover broken legs if they are out playing football someplace? Or falling off a horse and breaking one's back? I think I would be surprised if my auto insurance were to cover that.
