I find it rather ironic that so many people honestly believe that Obamacare or The Affordable Care Act is a SOCIALIST PROGRAM. It isn't and let me tell you why it isn't. As you probably already know, millions of people are out of work due to out-of-control outsourcing and the 2008 economic collapse. Many of those people had health insurance for SECURITY PURPOSES. So what happened after they lost their jobs or were forced to settle for a job that pays less? Well, they obviously dropped or lost their health insurance. As you probably already know, most health insurance companies make their money off of the customers who buy health insurance plans and rarely use them. It works exactly like car insurance. The more customers they have who aren't using their insurance, the less they can charge those who do. Just imagine what would happen if car insurance became OPTIONAL. Most drivers would be paying 3 or 4 times as much for their car insurance. The same goes for healthcare. Since so many people who used to buy health insurance for security purposes can no longer afford their plan, it's inevitable that health insurance prices will continue to rise at a very rapid pace. The more they rise, the more customers healthcare companies will lose which further increases rates. This is what I believe the Obama Administration saw AHEAD OF TIME and decided to create Obamacare as a means to prevent the upcoming healthcare crisis. By requiring more people to get health insurance for SECURITY PURPOSES, you can bring down the rates for everyone or at least keep rates under control. Let me just get to the point here. Without Obamacare, there WILL BE a healthcare crisis that could rival the housing crisis of 2008. If health insurance rates go too high, far less people will have health insurance which means that the GOVERNMENT will have to pay their bills. That will cost the government far more than what they would pay to help the uninsured and could add up to a trillion dollars to our already high deficit. Plus, many healthcare professionals could be out of work which makes things even more complicated. Anyone who doesn't support Obamacare is unknowingly supporting something far worse.
