    Evidently Obama is going to celebrate his 60th birthday by hosting huge bash. Hundreds of other liberal elites will be in attendance. Will the media portray this as a "super spreader" event, or will they give him a pass?

    Concerns about the safety of Obama's birthday gathering circulated on social media Monday,following last week's CDC recommendation that people in COVID-19 hot spots resume mask-wearing in indoor public spaces.

    Obama's event will be held outdoorsin Martha's Vineyard, and all invitees will be required to follow CDC public health protocols, including a testing regimen managed by COVID coordinator. Negative tests will also need to be presented by all guests.

    Martha's Vineyard does not currently qualify as an area of "substantially high" risk according to CDC standards. The Massachusetts Department of Health updated its guidance Friday to advise fully vaccinated individuals to wear masks indoors. An advisory issued last week in Martha's Vineyard mandates masks for indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status.

    Some users on social media still criticized Obama for organizing an event during a pandemic.

    According to the lates CDC guidelines, his event still qualifies as a super spreader event. Since the CDC have now publicly concluded that vaccinated folks are still a danger to society and all....

    yep, and around friends and family that are vaccinated, I do not wear a mask, nor does the cdc say we need too

    I think Obama is wrong to hold the event during a pandemic. He could postpone it, or just suck it up like the rest of us regular folk.

    You think being outside matters at all if someone with Covid is breathing all over you in your face in a packed crowd like that? Not wearing masks outdoors assumes you're able to easily socially distance, like on a beach or a park. Remember when Democrats shut those down? Yes, we all do.
