    Baloney, marleyfin. I spend a lot of time in NYC and while, yes, there are smells, they are usually the smells associated with different ethnic foods. You can smell falafel, kimchee, pizza, arroz con pollo, etc.

    The smells associated with the OWS people are quite different. They are the smells of unwashed bodies, garbage and feces and urine because they are going to the bathroom on people's doorsteps.

    No baloney, perhaps you are not a frequent user of the subway system. There are plenty street level places you can smell the unpleasant stenches you listed as well. NY is a great city, one of the best in many a category, not in the smell / cleanliness dept.

    My point is, this is catty.
