If he can prove he was in the server, the time stamps matched, and there were no modifications once obtained (you can prove this) what's the issue?

    That is beyond reasonable doubt.

If you deny that, you honestly have no idea what you are talking about and should just leave the thread .

Forensics would be able to tell if they were altered.

You're making too much of the hacker angle.

    What damage was done?

This is at least the 20th time that Hillary is supposedly going to jail. I'm sure that she'll get life in prison for the alleged stand down order.

How would you prove this without the originals? A person capable of hacking your email is not also capable of modifying those emails and removing any trace of modification? There's no way any court would buy that.

I'm adequately convinced you don't know what you're talking about. You would never be able to convince a judge that this information is trustworthy. You can't seem to wrap your head around the logic that someone capable of hacking an email account is also capable of covering up traces of modification.

Most judges don't have computer science degrees or understand C+, they'll defer to the experts

Your statement is logically unsound. If a person managed to hack an email account, is that person not capable of modifying those emails without leaving a trace of the modification?

So who reads a document first to determine if its should be marked classified or not? The top of the food chain or some underlings? You'd expect most of the documents she receives she would be the first to see since in her area at least she was the top.

Don't count on it. Remember one of the catchy slogans from the Obama team - "Don't let a good crisis go to waste".... this is right up Obama's alley.........

So you're saying it is impossible to modify the content of an email without leaving a trace of the modification?

Pretty much, yeah. Take for example a DOS(A Denial of Service) attack, anyone can know when that happens. When your internet's slow as hell, or when you get a blank page. How do you think STUNEX was discovered? The Iranians found their computers to be messed up beyond repair, that's how :D. You don't know when your compromised by a hacker, but you WILL know the damage after the fact.

That's why it's important to have security on at all times, and to run a system check every now and then. Just to be sure.

Absolutely, or like the mid terms last november. Dems are in a tight spot.

Please see her polling since all of this has come out. Even if she somehow avoids jail, her political career is kaput.

Well being Secretary of State and knowing it should tell a person they shouldn't be using an unauthorized server when handling sensitive information...

The fact this never entered her mind shows how delusional she is...

Having a personal account for personal stuff is one thing but for her to be handling classified material on basically a gmail account is reckless... People are in jail for that right now.. What makes her any different?

Yes, she was the top dog-so those documents were made by others.
Beyond that-all of this is well known to everyone working with sensitive documents.

She's in a very tight spot.

LOL ...... Hillary will fail on two levels, but not necessarily at the same time. The first being the Court of public Opinion, your "civil" if you will. The second will be criminally, although at that level of politics, folks often get just a smack on the back of the hand. Regardless, her fall will be quite hard.
