You're acting like cops should be mind readers. You can't reasonably assume that when you're called because of shoplifting that the person doing the shoplifting will end up trying to run you over with their car.

And no, you don't get treated differently because you're a certain gender of a certain age.

Well when your options include simply letting her go and picking her up later, then yes I disagree. You are not solving the problem, and you've already taught criminal suspects that if they resist, they can walk. I agree she should not have died for a shoplifting charge, but she simply behaved in a way no reasonable person should have acted, leading to this entire situation.

 

So you think if the cops simply got back in their cruiser, pulled up and parked in front of her vehicle, she would have sat calmly waiting for the police cruiser to do that, rather than pull out of the parking space and leave. Please stop with the ridiculous scenarios. You know she would have pulled away immediately.

 

She would have went forward, right where the cop was standing.

 

I've said this before, but it has absolutely no bearing on this situation. So I'm not sure why you keep bring this up. It only makes her actions seem even less rational if she was innocent the whole time but then proceeded to act as if she had a body in the trunk.

"BLACK robbers steal from a NIKE store"

They should have got back in their car immediately after talking with the kroger manager, parked their car in front of the women and then asked her to get out.

It's a much better option than using your option as a body block.

I'm wondering if you know how a car works. She was in a parking space, the cop was right in front of the car. If you saw the video you saw the car moving forward. It didn't make an impossible 90 degree turn.

First, we don't know if she was falsely accused, and secondly, it doesn't matter if she was. The cops can't have known that.

 

if she had Alcohol in that car, we would have heard about it, the cops would not be hiding that fact

never said the cops could know that, I said the cops would not of been there harassing her had she not been falsely accused

 

Who said rather than confront the woman? I am saying block her path with their car and then talk to her. Seems like people don't care about protecting the police and if things go awry, have the police block the car with their bodies.
