During the same briefing Jeff Zients, White House Covid-19 Response Coordinator revealed that one in five of all cases is occurring in Florida alone.

“In fact, just four states accounted for more than 40 per cent of all cases in the past week,” Mr Zients said.

This is what our idiot-governor Desantis has got for us. The "hero" of the anti-vaxers. Though, of course, the guy got himself and his donors first in line for the vaccines.

I disagree with the framing "the pandemic of the unvaccinated". I know the terminology is likely part of a public health campaign. But the unvaccinated includes people with allergies and children under 12. They should not be in the same boat as the creeps who simply refuse to take the shot.

This is "the pandemic of the anti-vaxers". Anti-vaxers are the ones perpetuating the pandemic. They infect children and those who simply are unable to develop anti-bodies. They could keep this pandemic going for years. And if this goes on for much longer, they might be responsible for developing a new mutation. Maybe even a variant that is resistant to the vaccine.

And then we start this thing all over again: shut downs, dead people, another financial crisis... the whole thing....

Who said the new cases are among the unvaccinated? I’m seeing stories all them time about vaccinated people getting the China virus.

I had a conversation with an anti vaxxer a couple of days ago - he asked why I took it and I told him I want to travel. He didn't have an answer for that. And for that reason alone (if no other), I would do it again. I think, in time, when people realize they are not able to travel or are not welcome in some places, they'll take the vaccine.

Thats the same argument drug dealers use to get kids started. Don't you want to fit in with the cool crowd? First one is free!

Since our government provided a voluntary vaccine we should no longer provide healthcare for this if they have chosen to remain unvaccinated.

YOU are saying it. Read the OP!

By the way, the xenophobic naming of Covid is not going to help Desantis.

If everyone has had time and opportunity to get a vaccine, thus making the unvaccinated population simply comprised of those choosing not to vaccinate and those who aren’t in any real danger from it to begin with, then what we are really arguing here is whether people should have the right to choose not to vaccinate based purely on their own health or if they should be pressured, ostracized, cancelled, fined, etc.

Obviously such conclusions have ramifications on more than this issue.

Imo people’s health is their own responsibility and if they choose not to take it and they get sick then it’s on them. Why any of the rest of us should care is beyond me.

I read the OP and there are no facts or data, just a quote from a person who has an interest in the vaccine.

I don't think anti-vaxers are much of the "traveled" kind. Normally travelling is educational and allows you to learn about new cultures and interact with them. None of which sounds like something that would appeal to many anti-vaxers.

    Addendum:
Oh! There you have it. See what I mean?

Really, considering Biden, Kamala and Cuomo were the original Anti Covid vaxers? During the primaries they literally said it was rushed and they may not take it and it was TRUMP was pushing it. I find this debacle that the left has created rather amusing, they question it playing politics, they questioned it because Trump started operation warp speed, they get elected, do an about face and politicize it. Brilliant group the administration is, brilliant. Can't imagine why some are holding out.

Same with people who take drugs or engage in drive by shootings, right? How about the people who live on fried chicken and McDonald’s, no heart care for them. And what about the unvaccinated illegals? I could make a long list of things people who live on the edge do, should they be denied care when things go sideways?

Yeah, I’m amazed at all the travelers I see from the inner cities of Detroit, Baltimore, Chicago, etc. They suck up all the parking spaces.

If they deny a vaccine for any of those things at no cost — yes

So NOW you read it, and the answer to your question "Who said the new cases are among the unvaccinated?" is YOU!!! You were the only one in this thread saying that.

Next time you might want to try reading the post BEFORE responding to it. Not wait to be called out when it's obvious that you didn't.

Sorry but the "I'm rubber, you're glue" argument worked much better in kindergarten than it's going to work for you here.

If you have any points to make regarding what somebody said, please do it with quotes. Read my sig!

I read it the first time. There is no data, ZERO, about who is and isn’t vaccinated. Just a quote.

Opinions are good enough for partisan politics i think. After all you can get a cup of coffee for $3.33 plus an opinion on average.

That’s a cop out. But go ahead and try to deny health care to unvaccinated people, the ones who suffer the most are the elderly. Why do you hate old people?

Oh... that's between @Pants and me. If you didn't get it from the above exchange, you're likely not going to get it. So don't worry about it.

You don’t understand what a cop out is then.

I have zero issues using my taxpayer dollars to help people or to develop cures — but when someone makes the decision to refuse to participate until they get sick that should be on them.

Why do you hate personal responsibility?

And I would agree with you if the virus wasn't transferable from human to human. We're all in this together so shouldn't we be looking out for each other rather than just ourselves?
