Although SEM and SMM will get you results fast, they are limited to the size of your budget. SEO and SMO are more long term solutions which, if done right, can continually bring in the desired results for your business. try to search in google to see if there are seminars or even webinars.

Do it! - - - Updated - - - You may not need to hire someone for SEO. I didn't, and I'm no geek. Most everything is off-the-shelf and easy to do yourself.
