The only place they have done extensive testing, is Iceland. When they extrapolate, and account for things, that is one place. Maybe not ten times, but five is easily true. One country has already revised an official 50%. Without checking bodies Fifty times, would be infections.

The real article is wrong, when I copy, it is another article.

As soon as I hear "extrapolate" my BS meter goes off. What article are you talking about and why is it "wrong?"

    1. The Trump administration fired the U.S. pandemic response team in 2018 to cut costs. That has since proved to be short-sighted.
    2. Claiming that the virus will go away in warm weather without any scientific basis, among numerous other untrue statements that serve only to confuse the public.
    3. Failed rollout of federal testing, essentially leaving states to figure it out on their own.
    4. Consistently downplaying the crisis early on, leading many people (i.e. people who still believe what Trump says) not to take it seriously enough.
    5. Denying that states actually need medical equipment
    6. Conflating the virus with the flu, even as late as March 27.
    7. Defunding the WHO, even though the WHO was far quicker to point out the concern with COVID-19 than Trump was

The list goes on, but there's the tip of the iceberg.

Look at you reposting practically the same BS right wing talking point as you did only a few short days ago. As you are apparently into recycling I'll just dig up my response. People might be interested to know that you have already had the gaping flaw in your analysis pointed out.

To that list of nations I provided we can add Singapore, Portugal, Denmark, Serbia, Ukraine, Finland, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and China (and before anyone desperately grasps for the distraction, even if China's figures are 30 times lower than stated they are still better than the US). I haven't checked every nation with fewer deaths per million than the US (there are so very many), but I seriously doubt my list of 22 nations is comprehensive.

When I responded to you last time you dodged responding and accused me of 'childish insults'. You never did answer my question - would it be childish for someone to call Trump 'Covid Donny' or Obama 'Ebola Barry'. Maybe one of the other right wingers here wants to jump in if you don't. Curious to know what qualifies as 'childish'.

    Keep livin the LIE.

Any shot you can throw at Trump I guess. The left leaning Politifacts says they left on their own in May of 2018. So why do you still try to BS everyone when you are clearly WRONG!

The distinction between "pushed out" and "fired" is not one that really matters. The U.S. had a pandemic response team, and then in 2018 the Trump Administration decided it wasn't worth having one. Play semantics all you want, but that decision was a mistake.

And as for the rest of Trump's response:

    6. Conflating the virus with the flu, even as late as March 27.
    7. Defunding the WHO, even though the WHO was far quicker to point out the concern with COVID-19 than Trump was

    Not good.

You need a news article to tell you that Trump stopped funding the WHO? Or that Trump said the virus might go away in warm weather? Just listen to the man speak for goodness sake. Or do you only hear what Fox wants you to hear?

Prove your points.....or don't, I really don't care if you destroy your own credibility by not backing up your statements. At that point they are just a foolish rant.

What point in particular do you think is false? That Trump is freezing U.S. funding of the WHO? If that is really news to you, then you are living under a rock.

Everyone knows by know that MSM = Fake News. Some pretend not to. ;-)

"For more than two years, leading US political and media voices promoted a narrative that Donald Trump conspired with or was compromised by the Kremlin, and that Special Counsel Robert Mueller would prove it. In the process, they overlooked countervailing evidence and diverted anti-Trump energies into fervent speculation and prolonged anticipation. So long as Mueller was on the case, it was possible to believe that “The Walls Are Closing In” on the traitor/puppet/asset in the White House."

Calling something fake doesn't make it so. It is intellectually lazy to just say "fake" whenever you can't come up with a credible argument on your own.

The MSM cannot avoid publishing Fake News because it does not hire real journalists.

“Bloomberg spent $500 million on ads. The U.S. population is 327 million. He could have given each American $1 million and still have money left over, I feel like a $1 million check would be life-changing for people. Yet he wasted it all on ads and STILL LOST," Williams said in quoting a tweet by journalist Mekita Rivas.

“It’s an incredible way of putting it,” Williams concluded.

“It’s an incredible way of putting it. It’s true,” Gay [Mara] added. “It’s disturbing.”

The U.S. population is currently 327 million people, which if evenly divided by $500 million comes to $1.53 per person."

It is fortunate that virtually no one still trusts the Fake News MSM.

It was reported that there may have been 70% more cases in CA of covid-19. That decreases the mortality rate, if the number of cases are increased that recovered. Okay? Do the math. Fauci's model, 100,000-200,000 was ridiculously wrong. It was a giddy, careless exaggeration to scare the masses to lock down.
Never mind, if you want to lock yourself down over a simple virus, keep going for it. The rest of us are enjoying the outdoors and watching our salons, bars, restaurants slowly open this Friday.

Sweden is still open and has covid deaths but no more than the countries that shut down. Herd immunity is nature's way of building up a human's immunity! This isn't the dark ages, we've survived worse than this decades ago.

If you need to compare Covid-19 to the single worst pandemic of the last 150 years in order to make your point that this virus is not that dangerous, then you are up ****'s creek without a paddle.

Also, the 100K-240K was not Fauci's models.

But hey, remember when you made this thread and posted some bullshit about "only 46,062 corona deaths worldwide" and now you have to say "only 48,000 American deaths?"

    ****ing useless thread.

Sweden has over 10x as many deaths (2000+) as Norway (193) and Finland (172), so I don't know if that's really where you want to go for your argument. Even if you adjust for the population difference, they have almost 3x the deaths per 100k people.

Humans never developed "herd immunity" to Small Pox Polio and a host of other diseases, we got herd immunity when we developed vaccines.

This is NOT like the flu.

Note that this chart is new weekly deaths, not cumulative. It's all about the spike:

The models were wrong. This is a new disease and the information we got from China was a pack of lies. I'd say that now the models are better, except that CA just had their deadliest day and they were supposed to be a week past peak. CA had 104 deaths yesterday and the Federal model said they should be down to 55, that's damn near double. The day before we had 115 and we were supposed to have 59, again, damn near double.

You say that 100k to 200k is wildly exaggerated, but, we are over 50k as of the 23rd, and we crossed 25k on the 12th and 12.5k on the 6th, and 6.25k on April 1. So this month we doubled in 5 days, then in 6 days doubled again, and in 11 days doubled again. Your betting that it won't double again, and I hope you're right.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/

    https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-states-of-america/california

    NY is getting hammered.

Their idiot Gov issued a regulation REQUIRING nursing homes to take in COVID 19+ patients. NJ did the same and it swept through their elderly like a hot knife through butter. That death rate is horrible and that 3 week spike, beyond belief.

New York City is probably greatly under-counted. Last year for the first 5 days of April, the Fire department picked up about 140 people that simply died in their homes.

The five days of April, this year, they picked up over 1100 folks that just died in their homes. None of these are being listed as COVID deaths.

And Coronavirus has the potential to kill even more, since we're now ~8 billion people on earth.

You know when they go to personal insults, they have already lost. I know you get a thrill when the number of deaths keep rising and love to be under government control. I CANNOT go in and change my headline, do you not get that? Of course I knew the numbers would change. If you don't like the thread, then stay out of it. By the way haters, Sweden is still open, the country all you leftists have loved because they slanted left way early. You don't want it to get better, you love that the American economy is being slowly destroyed. I can imagine your fury against Kemp. he dared to take a stand and let businesses re-open. And, you will be salivating over how many more deaths his state will get. By the way Colorado is doing the same thing...crickets.

According to Johns Hopkins University, Sweden has reported 14,385 cases of COVID-19 and experienced 1,540 resulting deaths.

The death toll in Sweden is higher than those in the Scandinavian region of Europe, which also includes Denmark and Norway — countries with smaller populations — but it falls significantly below those of Italy, Spain, and the UK, Bloomberg News reported.
