Openly gay New York Democrats oppose plan to open Chick-fil-A restaurants along I-90

Its not about the sandwich and you know it.

Its about supporting an organization that uses its influence and power to actively support oppressions of people whos lifestyles they dont agree with.

 

I'm hanging out in British Columbia these days because it's a pain in the rear to go back and forth across the border to Oregon (BC ... 5.1m people, 33 new covid cases) and it's refreshing to see people there acting like we used to act ten years ago.

Me? I'm tired of jackasses who politicize everything. The "woke" types on the left and the lying BS about CRT on the right. That anyone would believe there's widespread teaching white kids to be ashamed of being white is a product on the insanity going around. You'd think teachers are brainwashing kids and cops are shooting black people daily. In BC, people are actually nice to each other.

 

It makes a difference because the manner in which you made your references made it appear you said gays were using government to try shut down chicken joints. I know of no gay interest group that has asked governmentsc of any kind to legislate acceprable personal views. I domknowvof groups who asked government to intervene if customers were discriminated against or targeted for hatred or violence not just gays. I agree these Democrats may have over stepped but to assume they do it for gays is what I challenge. They may be pandering to gays but suggesting gays initiated their actions is not true.

However if you do have evidence of any interest group asking to shut down this business I would love to see the grounds why. The First Amendment protects freedom of speech. It does not protect words that incite violence or hatred or discriminatory public service practices. No law in the US can shut you down simply because of a difference in values. It has to go further then that.

If you make your own salsa you can cook the tortillas in that. If you don't make your own then hot oil is the affordable way to go. I cook tortillas for enchiladas in my home made green salsa. Roll up some chicken and cheese for a great Mexican treat.
