Cohen paid off Daniels with a home equity loan in October of 2016. The payments to Cohen were repayments for the money he gave Daniels. They were labeled as Legal Retainer which is a falsification of Business Records.

The question really is, was there some laws broken doing so.

Tarasoff and McConney gave more damning testimony. This time about the details of how Cohen was reimbursed for the hush money payments. The prosecution has notes written both by McConney and Big Al explaining how the payments to Cohen would be made and what the separate checks were for........reimbursement, a bonus, and money for the taxes Cohen would owe after he fraudulently claimed the income as legal fees.

Tarasoff and McConney also testified to the total control Trump had over payments, especially from his personal account, which was the account Cohen was reimbursed from.

Just as was the case in the congressional Jan. 6 investigation, these witnesses were people from inside the walls of Trumpworld.

 

Did she expose any crimes?

 

Hmm. We already knew Cohen paid Daniels. Nothing illegal. Obviously Trump knew about it. Nothing illegal. It doesn't matter who was blamed for the payment; Nothing illegal. There hasn't been a hint of a crime yet in this trial. Maybe Cohen will convince someone about a Trump crime. Or maybe not. He is a convicted perjurer. This trial is even more fun than the Georgia case about fraud that didn't defraud anybody. Obviously the prosecutors aren't trying to convict someone as a criminal. They are just trying to screw up Trump's campaign and it doesn't appear to be working. Isn't politics fun?

 

But payng hush money to a porn star isn't illegal. Not exactly damning. What a hoot.

The defense closing statement should be to have the jury make their decisions on exactly what a phuster cluck the indictment didn't say and totally screwed up interpretation of the off the wall charges are......that state prosecutors have no jurisdiction over federal elections... and Trump has never been indicted or convicted of FEC violations... Looks like our corrupt judge may well not have instructed the jury that catch and kill and NDA are not illegal, which should have been his duty on day one... there are lawyers publicly asking what are the charges and what is the second crime

presumed innocent until proven guilty by a honest, fair, and impartial jury..... that last part may be a sticking point after the trial and the jury pool starts running their mouths.. someone like this one ditsy kid (georgia case) would not keep her mouth shut and uncover how biased she was...

Not only have I seen stories about Cohen having an affair with Daniels, I've seen stories where it may have been possible that Daniels was trying to blackmail Trump.
