The author them cites several reasons why this is so though in my opinion missing the main reasons why this is happening. 1. Cheap and easy access to birth control and abortion without even a modicum of shame or remorse. 2. The left's virtual and virulent war against children, especially among the trendy green sector's true believers in Malthusian nonsense. 3. The left's highly divisive game of sexual politics in which men and women, rather than being seen as complimentary pieces in life's game in which neither is truly complete without the other, are instead seen as warring factions in which angelic women must compete with and over come devilish men at every turn. The author is of course a leftist city dweller and is of course unlikely to engage in the examination of his or her own political views and thus unlikely to even see these things happening or understand their impact. However props for recognizing that a problem exists. Even if he is haveing a bit of a problem ascertaining what's causing it.
