    OUR BORDER LOGIC

We have border crossings where Canadian and/or Mexican Citizens cross our borders to and fro, on a daily basis, then we spend billions to build fences along the borders to keep out the very same nationalities. Of course it doesn't work, they tunnle under, or crawl over, and we simply can't keep out that hoard of human ants, This is not the way to go, (we also have a statue in New York harbor which has a welcoming poem on it. – does this make a lick of sense?)

THERE IS A WAY TO HANDLE IT. We keep our quotas (or change them if necessary) and then make some simple Fedeeral Laws, TO WIT:

    1. All persons over a particular age ( like maybe 16) must have a valid PHOTO ID in order to work, (If the person is known by the employer as a citizen, then it need not be shown. ) This would most definitely include legally docummented foreign workers,

    2. States would be required to privide those Photo IDS

    3. Anyone knowingly employing a undocumented worker would be fined for every day that person works unlawfully.

There are also many State laws (and a couple of Federal practices) which should be examined to induce propriety in the affects of these laws.---and which can and should be discussed on individual basis/

The Statue of Liberty does not have a welcoming poem on it. The poem "the Great Colossus" is located in the pedestal in a very obscure location and was added some 20 years after its completion simply for the memory of Emma Lazarus at the request of one of her friends to the First Lady at the time. The confusion of the poem and the 1920's - 1930's immigrants doesn't make the poem or the statue welcoming in any since.

    These are already Federal Laws.
    1) The employer is required to fill out an I-9 for each employee/applicant. That requires at least 2 forms of ID to be employed.
    2) The Feds and the States already provide these ID's.
    3) Already law.
    4) Already law.

whether you like it or not, it is as welcoming verse, READ IT Asforhe rest, wheredoyou get yourinfo. ? The !-9 is not a photo ID---- Some states provide it, others don't, My state, wisconsin is in the process.--- the third is not a law or it would been enforced, and your last point is nonsense, and could not possibly apply

Whether you like it or not, it is not a welcoming verse for the Statue of Liberty.

So you don't really know much of anything about the I-9, do you? Did you even bother to look up the requirements for the employer to fill out for the I-9? Did you note what was required of the potential employee? What forms of ID were required (see page 5 of linked pdf)?

The third is a federal law, and according to all the major sources, ICE has quadrupled employer audits. Businesses were fined $6.9 million in fiscal 2010, up from $675,000 in 2008. http://articles.latimes.com/2011/jan/27/nation/la-na-immigration-raids-20110127

You really are inept when it comes to immigration law, legal or otherwise.

Are you arguing because it is in the pedistal rather than the statueproper,or that you just don't think it is a welcoming verse?

regardless of what may be required for the I-9, is it IN ITSELF a Photo ID?? YES< OR NO??

How is it that you have no fine figues beyond 2010?

I wonder who really is the inept one.

Are you saying it is not a welcoming verse, (REGARDLESS HOW IT GOT THERE), or that it is on the pedistal rather than the statue ?proper??

Regardless of the requirements, are you saying that the I-9 is "IN ITSELF" a photo ID?? YES OR NO??

How, and why is it that you don't have or cite the fine figures for any period past 2010???

Now who do you suppose is the REAL inept peon???

Whether the verse is welcoming or not, it has nothing to do with the meaning of the Statue of Liberty. Arriving immigrants never even saw the poem, nor knew of its existence.

???? The I-9 requires photo ID to be copied and verified in order for the prospective employee to be able to be employed. Thus your claim, 1. All persons over a particular age ( like maybe 16) must have a valid PHOTO ID in order to work, is repeating what is already law.

I simply made the point that there is already a law in place doing what you think is some sort of revolutionary idea, and backed it up. The law is already in place as I stated, that you ineptly claimed the third is not a law or it would been enforced, and your last point is nonsense, and could not possibly apply.

Well, that would still be you.

I do understand your first point but that didn;t stop it from being a greeting message. and the laws,if actually passed, don't appear to be enforced. Specifically, I did not know the i-9 had been passed, and apparently it also is not being enforced.

Why would you beleive I thought any of these suggestions were revolutionary? apparently they aren't. or they wouldn't have been passed

Also you appear to excessively critical and arrogant. why is that?

The Progressives of the 1920's were the ones that attempted to make it a welcoming beacon to immigrants due to the fact that at the time immigration restrictions were being put into place. Specifically the INA's of 1917 and 1924.

What makes you believe they aren't being enforced? You do realize that illegals can buy forged/fake documents right? Hell, they can purchase fake SS and ID cards at any local flea market.

Maybe you should have looked into those things prior to professing to then make some simple Fedeeral Laws. Those laws are being enforced, it is this admins policies that decide where the degree begins and ends, the same as it is with every admin.

Critical? pointing out your ignorance? Is that any different then your quips: whether you like it or not, or your last point is nonsense, and could not possibly apply , etc. If you can't take it, don't try to dish it. :roflol:

As for me being arrogant? Don't think your ignorance isn't the issue, I simply pointed out that ignorance. If you consider me to be arrogant for doing so, then who really has the issue here?

Actually I know exactly what I do, that's why you are responding the way you are. The issue is with you, not me.

:roflol: There you go confusing your ignorance thinking I'm being critical and arrogant again.

You really should do much better research and not think you know more then you actually do. You should look at this as a learning experience and learn from it vs making yourself look even more foolish by responding the way you do.

Then get on your knees and start.

Some on the left may believe that our border logic should involve our Commerce Clause, some form of capitalism to take advantage of that situation on a for-profit basis, and a legal monopoly on immigration on the part of the general government.

How could it make sense when you don't even grasp the words you use? That reflection in the mirror is you. Don't confuse you with me. :icon_yoda:

It has to do with actually working with the laws of supply and demand instead of "burying our heads" in sand dunes of Prohibition.

I work in the home construction business and it's the blacks that are up in arms about this tidal wave of illegals. Sheet rock hangers that have been doing this all their lives now can't compete with the cheep Mexican labor now.
Brickers are in the same boat. There are only one black crew Brickers left here. The others shut down. These were good black owned companies that the left wing put out of work through cheap labor force they allow to come here illegally. The blacks here now why they lost their jobs. The wrath will come one day when enough of them see their mothers and father put out of work due to liberal policies to buy votes. They realize the liberals moved on from them and are now romancing the illegals.

It is in our supreme law of the and and has to do with being fiscally responsible enough to make money under any form of capitalism, as that form of border logic.

and what in H*** does that have to do with border logic?

The Commerce Clause is in Article 1, Section 8. Commerce must be included in our border logic.
