Sergeant Tomer Hazan, 20, an IDF soldier from Bat Yam, was murdered in the West Bank, it has been cleared for publication. Shin Bet and special police forces raided the home of terrorist Nidal Amer, 42, from Beit Amin and discovered he had murdered Hazan in order to use his body to free his brother, a member of the Tanzim, who has been held in Israel for the past 10 years for involvement in terrorist attacks. According to the investigation, the Shin Bet received a report about a missing soldier on Friday evening and set up a joint command room together with the IDF. At the same time, the Shin Bet also received a report that the missing soldier had shared a taxi together with Nidal Amer, a resident of Beit Amin, a Palestinian village in the West Bank, to Shaarei Tikva, a town near the village. During questioning, Nidal admitted he persuaded the soldier, who had worked with him in a restaurant in Bat Yam, to travel with him to his home in the village. When the two arrived at the village, Nidal took the soldier to an open field north of the village of Siniria, where he murdered him. He then dumped his body in a well. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4431801,00.html The evil bastard murdered him. He then dumped his body in a well. Reminds me the two evil muslims wich beheaded the soldier in the Woolwich attack. Arabs are dangerous, they can stab you in the back !!
According to the laws of war civilian uprise in an occupied territory is a legitimate act of warfare. The IDF soldier therfore was killed but not murdered.
It is indeed sad and he probably was a decent young man. I think MaxxMurxx is right and it is not murder. He has paid for what others have done. Here is a recent example of Israeli soldiers killing Palestinians trying to get to work http://www.politicalforum.com/showthread.php?t=319050&page=5&p=1063060668#post1063060668 Feel sorry for the man and his family but you really ought to start working on the 'evil' of the Israeli army before you start calling names. P.S I am surprised this young man was unaware of the risk he was taking. When you are killing, stealing people's land and imprisoning without trial, sooner or later you are going to meet someone who's family has been touched and in Palestine I would think that would be sooner rather than later, there has been so much killing and ill treatment.
If an Arab comes to visit or work in Israel , he will return safely to his home. If an Israeli enter Gaza or Ramallah, he will surely be linched. Evil Arabs !!
bull(*)(*)(*)(*) he was not killed in action. I'm not even sure if he was a warrior. He worked with this guy at the same place, they worked togheter, and he took him and murdered him in cold blood, in order to release hes imprisoned brother, now he will spend the rest of his dirty life in prison with him, like he desreves. there is nothing understandable in this, there is no logic behind the fact that you could just take a man who aorks with, your friend, someone who trusts you, and simply kill him, murder him in cold blood. you cannot justify that, maybe if he was killed in actions, but no, then you cant, I wont let you trash that poor kid's name like you people do with the rest of our people.
From the ICRC homepage about the laws of armed conflict: In international armed conflict, combatants are entitled to directly participate in hostilities. In other words, they are permitted to commit lawful acts of war intended to achieve a military goal in the most effective way. The principle of distinction, however, requires that such acts of war be directed only against enemy combatants and military objectives, while preventing unnecessary and excessive damage to civilians. Therefore, implementation of the principle of distinction demands a clear definition of persons and objects that may be legally targeted. Insofar as persons are concerned, enemy combatants are members of the armed forces of a Party to a conflict (except for medical personnel and chaplain). Persons who are not members of the armed forces are civilians and therefore shall not be the object of attack. There is one exception, however: civilians directly participating in hostilities - either individually or as part of a group - become legitimate targets of attack, though only for the duration of their direct participation in hostilities. The term warrior is not used in the laws of war. A soldier without any doubt as a "member of the armed forces" is an "enemy combatant". Surely he was killed "in action". In an action of the other side of the conflict. Or do you assume that in an armed conflict only one side is allowed to carry out lawful combat activities? http://www.icrc.org/eng/war-and-law...are/overview-methods-and-means-of-warfare.htm
If a bunch of Financial Capitalists set up a Pseudo-Nation on the basis of Genocide then its Soldiers are always legitimate Targets to an Occupied people. One down Thousands to go! Good effort Democracy in Action!
Israeli hurts palestinian - Ethnic cleansing, murder, theft, etc. Palestinian hurts Israeli - He had it coming. It's the Israelis fault. Somehow, I see a pattern here.
Israel commits genocide ,bombs its Neighbour Nations at will ,Threatens Regional War with Syria and Iran ,and generally ignores all Norms of International Law. And then screams Anti-Semitism at any criticism .SEE THE PATTERN ? Oh and if one says that Zionism collaborated with Adolf Hitler ,then well the sky is falling ,and the truth is revealed.
Good to know because Israelis and Americans kill the enemy all the time when they are off duty chilling at home or attending a social function. So you admit that is murder? I don't condone what the guy did, but you need to apply the same standard to both sides of a conflict.
Depends how one resists and If it is really resisting the occupation rather then trying to be occupiers themselves.
An issue not addressed is whether the report in the OP is even true. The fact is that it is a regular occurrence for the IDF to torture/beat false confessions out of Palestinians, men and women and children.
Then you see all Palestinians working in Israel with the same 'rights" to kill every Israeli they encounter ? so if Israel drives them all away it will only do the logical thing I assume ?
We all know Israel occupies the West Bank. Under international law, a people occupied have the lawful right to resist Occupation. - - - Updated - - - Palestine is not occupying Israel.
Israeli military psychologically tortures a 14-year-old Palestinian Ma'an News Agency, Feb 2, 2011(*)Israeli forces psychologically tortured a 14-year-old Palestinian detained in a night raid on his Ramallah village, a local rights group said.Islam Tamami was detained on 23 January from his home in Nabi Saleh, a village which holds weekly anti-wall rallies to protest Israel's confiscation of residents' land.He was taken to a police station and interrogated without his parents or a lawyer present, the Popular Struggle Coordination Committee said.Soldiers used psychological torture to extract false testimony about demonstrations in his village during an eight hour interrogation, PSCC reported.Tamimi's lawyers requested access to the boy immediately after his request, but this was not granted until after five hours of interrogation, the committee said. http://imeu.net/news/printer0020433.shtml Coercing false confessions from Palestinians is a regular Zionist practice.
And you can rely on your continues concern to the Palestinian prisoner conditions as long as they do. The one thing that will change now is a hunt on Palestinains that work in Israel illegaly, now their own employers will kick them away, thousands will lose their jobs but hey it was worth it because you managed to murder one Israeli youth. - - - Updated - - - You just danced on the blood of an Israeli murdered youth and you want me to feel sorry for Palestinian prisoners ?
I have murdered noone. And whatever new human rights abuses and crimes Israel chooses to perpetrate on their occupied population they alone are responsible for.
