Proof if proof were needed that the UK has sunk to the depths of utter stupidity in the preposterous need to show we are more 'compassionate' than any other country on the planet. That is a typical liberal rationale - react to a situation in a misguided stage-managed act, then reap the whirlwind of the consequences. The British government is wholly responsible for the Manchester atrocity.

 

Does anyone find it ironic that the far left, which has made it a focus to degenerate devout Christians, is now so religious that they would sacrifice their own safety to show compassion?

 

Progressive Leftism is a cult that is singularly focused on permanently securing the unrestrained political power required to steal from Peter to give to them.

Everything they do politically is geared towards obtaining those economic ends..... Identity/Victim-Oppressor politics; Virtue Signaling, Social Justice Warriorism, AGW, militant feminism, militant LGBTQism, militant BLM, Occupy, the belligerency surrounding Sanctuary Cities and detainers, the current whining about the fake refugees and their poor bundles of joy, gun control, etc, etc, etc.....

ALL OF IT is designed paint themselves as paragons of virtue, as 'champions of the victimized', and their political enemies (who, not coincidentally, are the last defenders of America's 'unfair' economic system and 'antiquated' central authority limiting US Constitution) as evil..... as greedy, privileged, racist, bigoted, nativist, xenophobic, regressive, dangerous, terroristic, hostage taking, put y'all back in chains, black church burning, dirty air and water loving obstacles to (leftist managed) Collectivist Utopia.

As you've probably noticed, it's backfiring. Spectacularly. As it turns out, hard working, law abiding Americans don't appreciate being defamed (or robbed of their individual rights, liberties, opportunities and private property in the interests of The Greater Global Good™)

 

In religious times, men became monks of some sort. They owned nothing, begged for food, labored all day for the glory of the church. Now the church is the LEFT. If you are devout, you will own nothing, take the government handouts and be grateful, and eventually be forced into labor to replenish the common stores and make your leaders rich. Hey, just like in Venezuela.
All the left has is their virtue signalling.

I love the Left's favorite term, "new normal".
It's kind of like saying, life sucks even more than before, get used to it.

 

The real surrealism is that (as I understand it) they were taken to Malta by the Royal Navy then put on a civilian plane (probably in Business Class lol) for the onward journey to the madhouse known as the United Kingdom.
