so lets see what we can learn about this one I already see what can attrack and repell a structure but lets not focus on the 'telepathic' simularities http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/01/080124103151.htm
They are pretty crazy to watch. Of all the single celled organism I've looked at under a scope, and I've looked at a lot, they are the only ones that look like they actually know what they are doing on some level. Whether they actually do or not, i can't say, but its hard not to wonder. What would a degree of awareness imply about conciousness (sp?)? Well, parameciums are extremely complex for single celled organisms, so perhaps they have some sort of internal structure thats analagous to the computing power of of the nervous systems in animals. It's not too far fetched. all cells have internal messaging systems, which is what our nervous system is, so evolution could potentially lead to systems that are capable of storing memory.
Some fish look smarter than others, but some look totally hopeless. I guess we'll never really ever know, will we? It's like God has designed a "need to know" system. If we needed to know, he would have provided that particular capacity, don't you think? It's amazing how much we will never be able to discover...because of our lack of cross communication skills.
