You're darn right it does. He's nothing more than a crazy old man, living in the past, appealing to the crazies of the republican Party (aka **********s). I dont hear anyone attacking FEMA for the work they are doing in Texas to help with the fires that are raging. You people are nuts if you think FEMA should be done away with - absolutely certifiably nuts.
We really don't need a centralized organization that's responsible for controlling various isolated disasters which occur in different locations around the country. I know what you're assuming. You think that without FEMA, suddenly there will be no money for disasters. You also likely think that localized organizations are incapable of handling disasters which occur in their localities.
If FEMA wasn't there, people would donate to disaster relief more. Now, people think, "my taxes are already paying for it, why should I?" Then that money that's not direct charity is also paying bureaucrats. If people just donated with charities, there would be more direct money going to the cause. Also, why should someone living in Oregon pay for a flood in New Orleans? The people living in New Orleans chose to live there, and should expect the potential natural disasters. Ron Paul doesn't want relief for natural disasters to completely end, he just believes that the states and private charities should be in charge of that, and that they can run it way more efficiently. I hate the kind of thinking where people are like "he's against FEMA: he wants people to die and be left on their own if there's a disaster!" You need to look at it beyond that.
We Don't need Fema, they make things worse. Remember Katrina, they stopped the food and cut the communication lines to the disaster areas. They are a NWO group, that aren't about protecting the USA
