http://time.com/4410815/paul-ryan-intern-selfie/ Yes it does say a lot. But are you asking the right questions when you look for an answer? Is this sea of white faces because discrimination exists? Did multitudes of non-whites apply for intern positions? If they did were they suitable and as/more qualified as another [white] candidate? Did the republican process actively [consciously or not] employ racism to not hire non-whites? I'm gonna say no on all counts. What the response to the image says to me is we focus on race as an excuse, too much. I would rather have a qualified person doing the job [especially in government] regardless of their color and those commenting that it's too white might be the real racists.
Maybe Ryan should take a page from Huffington Post on diversity. Here's a picture they posted during an editorial meeting in an attempt to show how "diverse" they are. Apparently all young, white women is the textbook definition of diversity. http://insider.foxnews.com/2016/05/...e-meeting-photo-twitter-sparking-social-media
