House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday fended off a challenge to her long leadership reign, defeating Rep. Tim Ryan (D-Ohio) in a closed-door vote prompted largely by Donald Trump’s unlikely ascension to the White House

Congrats democrats for selecting a woman who helped lead your party to over 1,000 lost elections.

I'm being completely truthful, I can't think of a better representative for the Democratic Party than Nancy Pelosi. Maybe Maxine Waters.

The pure definition of insanity. Do the same thing over and over and expect a different result. They will never learn.

Sweet baby Jesus!!! Happy days. She will ensure the Dems will remain a bi-coastal party. I was a bit worried about the guy from Ohio winning and actually moving the Dems back to the center a bit. As long as they stay pushing the envelope on progressivism, they have zero chance at the House or Senate in 2018!

The Democratic Party's tone deaf approach is amazing and welcomed. Wait until the mid-terms when they have 25 of their Senate seats up for grabs! The Congressional lead for the Republicans will grow even more too!

Merry Christmas Republicans! It just came early!

They've tired of the echo chamber and opted for a sensory deprivation vault. Democrat leadership has become its own constituency, they can hear no other voices.

    Cheers

I saw Chuck Schumer accusing republicans of having a "War on Seniors". It looks like they will keep the same old tired playbook from the same old tired players. I guess their going "high again" hahahahaha

great news, never interfere with the left while they are destroying themselves. Pelosi has been to the GOP House of Representatives what Obama has been to the gun industry

So my grats to the Democrats, continue to do exactly what you have been doing for the last 6 years, it is working out great.

They been beating the same drums for years now, it's just people are tired of the same song but their political egos won't let them see that are yesterdays fish

She has homes in my end of CA. She lives the good life of both SF and Napa Valley. If you ever get a chance, visit Napa Valley. Do expect to drink a lot of wine so make sure that is accounted for. You can drop off at Calistoga for a mud bath. If you want, you can drive a short distance to a lake. They have Silverado, a famous golf course there. Enjoy it, Nancy does when in her home area.

And that's precisely why they will be wandering in the political wilderness for the next several years. Look at how many Democrats are blaming their plight on their failure to communicate instead of their arrogance and overreach. Instead of reconsidering their bad ideas and bad policies, they've opted for calling the American people stupid. In other words, the hoi polloi are just too darned dumb to figure out what's best for themselves, and since "progressive" geniuses did a lousy job of explaining it to them, the witless electorate voted Republican.

As far as I'm concerned, they should stick to their delusional sense of infallibility and remain deaf to the unwashed masses and their grumbling.

The problem with politicians is that once they get in office they think that the job should be theirs for life. It's a curse on humanity everywhere.

She seems like a poster child for the current DNC. A wealthy, aloof, power hungry politico who has to be in charge, totally out of touch with the poor and middle class.

I honestly feel sorry for some you liberals here, the DNC just has it's head up it's butt for a long while now. They got greedy and sent Obama to DC too early and he was too new and weak to handle Pelosi and Reid who are the real culprits who have led the Dems out into the wilderness. Arrogance comes before the fall and it looks like the DNC is still going in circles

What a bunch of goose stepping liberal pantywaist (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*).

Behind a closed door vote !!!

That's how liberals do business, behind locked closed doors.

Inside every liberal there is a totalitarian screaming to get out and Nancy Pelosi is that totalitarian.
