Pelosi privately told Biden polls show he cannot win and will take down the House; Biden responded with defensiveness (Full title wouldn't fit)

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi privately told President Joe Biden in a recent conversation that polling shows that the president cannot defeat Donald Trump and that Biden could destroy Democrats’ chances of winning the House in November if he continues seeking a second term, according to four sources briefed on the call.

The president responded by pushing back, telling Pelosi he has seen polls that indicate he can win, one source said. Another one of the sources described Biden as getting defensive about the polls. At one point, Pelosi asked Mike Donilon, Biden’s longtime adviser, to get on the line to talk over the data.

I think what you currently see is a major difference in party unity. Republicans are all in, all together, and ready to back Trump with excitement and enthusiasm.

On the left side, you see the party currently divided into at least 4 sections, IMO.
    1. Old Guard Democrats who like Biden
    2. Old Guard Democrats who want to replace Biden
    3. Progressives who hate pretty much the entire old guard
    4. Bonus - POC democrats who hate everyone in the party and promise problems if anyone but kamala is a replacement.

I don't see democrats finding a way to come together, mainly because i don't see Jill letting Joe step down.

I think if we ever see a true 3rd option party, it will be democrats fracturing into two overall groups. Old guard vs progressives/POC. If this wasn't election year, I think we would see a greater divide over the Israel / Palestine conflict.

And forum Democrats are intent on ignoring it all and saying Trump a million times…nothing really new I guess…

Well that's Pelosi's problem. Looks like she should have spoke to the ACTUAL current president of the united states - JILL BIDEN

To paraphrase Biden: "I'm not going anywhere". But in my opinion, he can't hang on much longer.

    Doesn't matter.
I don't think any democrat combo can beat trump/Vance.

The democrats needed to move to plan B a year ago. Too late now.

And they have no one to blame but themselves.
