Finally a little common sense here.

The Pentagon will no longer allow shows involving drag performers to be hosted at military facilities, a spokesperson said Thursday, enforcing a longstanding policy amid intensifying pressure from Republican lawmakers to cancel the practice.

Drag shows on military bases have been a contentious issue in recent months as part of a larger push by some Republican lawmakers who say personnel policies including diversity training and racial-justice education distract from warfighting and harm recruiting efforts.

Key words: "this has been DoD’s longstanding policy"

Its surprising there has been a drag show at a base, but if there was, then it was against existing rules anyway.

Well, that post essentially ends this thread.... but the drag-o-phobes will probably keep it going as long as possible...

Not sure drag shows on a military base makes even the slightest difference if you're not transphobic, but at the same time, removing them doesn't make the slightest bit of difference either because drag shows are stupid and pointless. If it was longstanding policy not to have them, then the recent spate of drag shows on military bases should have never occurred to begin with.

Do our soldiers want drag shows? I would never go to a drag show, does that make me a dragophobe?

Nope... not for that reason, anyway...
