It makes me wonder..Is all of Texas politics spoiled like those in Chicago ?

You can buy Perry's vote fro $5,000 as MB charged in a debate.

    Russ L. ?
Stop supporting a crook..he dropped out of the debates for a reason.
His past history was sneaking up on him.

Perry Blast Romney about not being conservative and changing opinions ?
How about not giving plush jobs to donors..?
Giving contracts to foreign investors ? ( especially if they are a BIG DONOR..)

How can ANYBODY support Him anywhere.

The Rolling Stone article destroys Perry.
    Run Perry..Run..

    A small quote..enjoy..

" But Rick Perry has managed to set a scary new low in the annals of opportunism, turning Texas into a swamp of political incest and backroom dealing on a scale not often seen this side of the Congo or Sierra Leone."

    End.

What a silly article... obviously written by a scared *******. Not one single example to backup any of those nasty accusations. Just these babblings of a fool:

And no mention of these FACTS:

    Jobs
•The U.S. gained 103,000 nonfarm jobs in September 2011 compared to August 2011. The U.S. unemployment rate remained unchanged at 9.1 percent for September 2011.
•Texas’ September 2011 unemployment rate was 8.5 percent, unchanged from August.
•Texas total nonfarm employment increased by 15,400 jobs from August to September. Between September 2010 and September 2011, Texas gained 248,500 jobs.
•The Texas unemployment rate has been at or below the national rate for 57 consecutive months.

    Housing
•Thus far, Texas has weathered the national real estate crunch without significant damage to property values.
•In September 2011, the Texas foreclosure rate was one in every 985 mortgages.
    •This was substantially better than Nevada’s one in 118, California’s one in 259, Arizona’s one in 305, and Utah’s one in 408.

    Taxes
•Texas sales tax receipts for August 2011 were 11.9 percent higher than for August 2010.

    Stimulus Package
•In Texas, an estimated $18 billion in federal stimulus money is flowing to state and local governments. The Comptroller’s office is tracking the $14.3 billion that comes through the state Treasury. The Comptroller’s analysis is ongoing. ==============

You can call me crazy... but these FACTS point to a well-run state and are much more important to me than his ability to perform in public like a well-trained monkey. Or whether he sweats. Or any of the other warped criteria the left uses to select leaders. The fact that Perry still has some supporters tells me I'm not the only one who's willing to give up rock star for solid performer. I wouldn't count him out yet... even if the political geniuses @ Rolling Stone doesn't agree. ;)

You didn't point out the cronyism of how Perry receives funding and how jobs are filled did you ?
Or how Perry dresses and talks like a tea party person but is the complete opposite,.
Talk about principle and character .

Perry has 1/2 of what Romney has..
Some might say that aint a whole lot.

This with his debate BS disqualifies him as a serious candidate.
You must be 1 of the 900 Big donors.

None of your accusations have any merit. He's been the governor of my state for nearly 10 years and I think my experience outweighs your Rolling Stone op ed.

You're just jealous 'cuz he's so handsome. Here's a pic from a site asking if Rick Perry is gay. Maybe you could spin another thread off that one.

Nice rebuttal..I didn't know he was Gay ..but that's not high on my list of things to check..

I like the corruption and crony politics deal better.:)

    quote

" "The total of hard-money donations to Perry's three gubernatorial campaigns is $102 million," says McDonald, who tracks the state's pay-for-play system on behalf of Texans for Public Justice. "Half of that, $51 million plus, came from just 204 donors."

    MORE ?? But of course..
    quote
"According to Texans for Public Justice, Perry appointed 921 of his donors and their spouses to government posts over the past decade. All told, those appointees gave a staggering $17 million to his campaigns – 21 percent of the entire amount he raised during that time. To give an indication of just how completely for-sale public appointments became during his administration, Perry collected $6.1 million from the 155 people he appointed to be regents of state universities in Texas."
    End.

Romney is a notorious flip-flopper on issues. And that is just now starting to come to light. As Bret Hume said.....people will maybe forgive a change on an issue with good reason. But continual changes in important issues....pretty soon the candidate is seen as not being honest about his positions and/or having no principles on which he stands.

Perry is the true conservative and hasn't changed his position on important issues......

    Yes Perry hasn't changed.

He is a crook and in my opinion should be in jail.
This entire weekend news cycle was all Perry all the time.
Not A single mention about crony pay for play in Texas.
Not 1..all the news guys did was allow for Perry campaign speeches to be regurgitated. OVER and OVER..

    " I am the true conservative." ( I look like one..talk like one..I am one )

Nothing on his taking cash for nuclear dump sites..or toll roads..or College positions.
If this is how you play in Texas..stay there.

Yet in any Romney reference the words Flip flop follows.
With zero evidence or rebuttal allowed.
When this Rolling stone comes out in November Perry better have a better answer than..

    "I am the true conservative."

I will not support a crook..Not from Chicago.and not from Texas.

So, how does Obama receive funding? NONE comes from his friends or "cronies" I guess you'd claim. Newsflash: it's always been that way and always will be. There is no rule in our democracy that says your friends can't donate to your campaign. It's the American way. Surprised that you are surprised by it.

Glad to see you're a Romney supporter. He may very well end up being our candidate and you can go vote for him! :)

BTW, this election is going to be about Obama and whether or not someone wants this man to get 4 more years. Ain't looking so good for him right now......no matter who is running against him.

You sound like a schoolgirl with a crush. You're one of the fools who voted for him, apparently. You have to take ownage of the fact that you helped make Texas a laughingstock. Have a nice day.

What makes you say that? Obama leads every Rep candidate in the polls and now for the first time leads a generic Rep candidate. His low approval ratings don't mean squat when the Reps approval ratings are even lower. Get ready for four more years of you Reps whining and looking like spoiled babies.

Even if your numbers are correct.....that is 60% that went to natives and legals. And besides, if the federal gov't is letting them in....and they are.....then it's either let them work if they can get a job or put them on government subsidies. I know which one I think is better. How about you???

Being from the state who has created the most jobs during this recession???? How is that making Texas a laughinstock. Why do you think Obama doesn't want to run against him. He knows he won't be able to go up against that record of job creation. Why do you think companies pulled up stakes in California and other states and moved here to Texas? It's because the business climate is good and other than the drought which we have no control over, things are still pretty good and certainly much better than any most other places in the country.

Obama doesn't have the enthusiam from his base that he had 4 years ago. And much of the Independents, who actually gave you the win, have turned against him. It's pretty much down to "anybody but Obama." And those numbers you talk about are so close as to be within the margin of error. You'd better hope and pray for a dramatic turn-around in the economy. That's about the only thing that might save him.
