    Evenin, folks. Hope everybody survived the holiday weekend. Happy as hell I took a vacation day tomorrow. Prolong the agony. LOL

    Hopefully this week will be the last for me. The kitchen countertop is supposed to be installed tomorrow along with the new sink and dishwasher, the plumber will hook up the water to both Tuesday or Wednesday, the kitchen floor comes in on Thursday, and the rug for the family room, hallway, and master bedroom on Friday. At least, that's the general plan. God willing, the end is near!

    I sure hope so!

    The countertop was put on this afternoon, and the dishwasher and sink were installed soon after. The whole thing looks great - the sink completely matches the countertop. So my wife and I spent some time unpacking the boxes and either putting stuff back in the cabinets or throwing it away. Big problem now is that the oven has gotten greasier and grimier, and without a sink there's no easy way to clean it! But the plumber is supposed to be in Wednesday afternoon to hook everything up, and then we'll have a completely working kitchen again!

    GOOD NEWS: The linoleum floor was successfully installed today.

    BAD NEWS: While moving stuff around, I tore a small hole IN the new linoleum floor.

    SOLUTION: Go to Wal-Mart, buy a mat to place OVER the tear in the new linoleum floor!
